Although we did not have the pleasure of staying at this hotel, we visited the bar for a few drinks and had a walk around the hotel and the shops within the hotel. This is a beautiful hotel with an extremely well designed interior and attention to detail. The high ceilings in the main "conservatorium" were such a majestic sight...

Probably one of the best 'upmarket' locations to have lunch or dinner. Interior wise sublime, located in the former Amsterdam 'school for music' near the city center, in the beautiful south of Amsterdam. Old and new combined. Excellent service, great food.

This hotel was a conservatorium and of course the main attraction is the brasserie in which they will serve you dinner with a Piano concert. Food is good, hotel is very luxurious. Clearly you can find great in Amsterdam

I stopped at the Conservatorium Hotel for a coffee and something to eat. Isabella welcomed me and gave me great advises for my stay in Amsterdam. I don't like areas with many tourists and she could tell me where to eat and shop! Thank you very much!

My husband and I stayed in a suite at the Conservatorium for four nights--by the end of our visit, I didn't want to leave! The room was so lovely, and the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. They were very helpful when I borrowed a bike, or even when I left a whole drawer of clothes after checking out!! The...

From the moment we arrived, jet lagged and grumpy, everyone we dealt with at the Conservatorium Hotel made us glad we had selected it for our 4 night stay in Amsterdam. We expected good service, but what we received transcended that, it was warm, friendly and anticipatory. They made us feel at home. From tickets to museums, restaurant recommendations to...

It's hard to be impressed by a city hotel these days. I am a very frequent traveler and had the opportunity to stay in most of the landmark city hotels around the world. But I have not seen the combination of attention to details, warm hospitality, and elegance, that the Conservatorium offers. The rooms are stunning, the front & concierge...

We stayed at the Conservatorium Hotel for a long weekend to visit Amsterdam. It was a wonderful and most comfortable stay. The room were clean and spacious and the service just perfect. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
