I ended up staying here after arriving in Amsterdam and being booked into another 2 star hotel. That first place was so bad I had to leave and desperately looked for somewhere else or go home and I was supposed to be here for 6 days. A friend sent me the link for the Imperial and I arrived at 10am...

Thanks for the kind words...didn't know you wanted a kettle. We have - you needed only to ask at reception. Peter

We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor in the back where we could open the windows and enjoy the air even though it was a hot week in Amsterdam. The room was large, comfortable, and just about perfect. Peter, who owns the hotel and is frequently the person at the front desk was absolutely the best help in...

This hotel was within walking distance to where we wanted to go, we syayed for 4 nights. The rooms were clean and airy and the free Wi Fi was a bonus. There was some noise at night from the revellers outside but we just shut the windows so it was not a problem. The staff made you feel welcome so...

Perfect location, clean and nice room. In the real heart of amsterdam, max 20 min walking from every place to visit. Ideal for couples, friends or solo travellers, the location offers also a good proximity to several restaurant, cafe, and clubs

The hotel was clean, very well located, the room was really well decorated. It is near a lot of bars and restaurants so it´s noisy but when you close the window it's quiet. The only thing that difficult a bit is that there's no elevator, so if you're with a lot of heavy luggage take some time to go up...

Good hotel. Clean and tidy and a great location. Apparently its noisey at the front of the hotel due to the bars etc. We had rooms and the back and didn't really hear any noises. Would stay again for a short trip.

A lovely, private and clean house for a moderate price. The staff is very friendly. It is located very central; however, in the party mile of Amsterdam. Therefore some rooms (not all) are exposed to noise pollution.

Booked and stayed here based on good reviews and location on 31st August until 3rd September 2016. Staff welcoming and helpful, rooms clean and perfectly adequate. Location is great, being a 2 mins walk to tram stop. To get to find schipol airport you get 1 train and 1 tram, approx 30 mins journey, we chose to buy the €25...

Hotel Imperial has great location. It is pleasant and clean. I can recommend it for travelers to Amsterdam. Just outside the hotel you can get everything: restaurants, supermarkets, bars, bus and tram stops.

Very nice and clean old fashioned rooms, but loud in the night on the frontside because of the restaurants. Very nice service at the reception. There is free w-lan. The hotel is top located in the center of the old towndistrict.
