As many others have said, this hotel was located close to the central station, but because it was a few blocks off the Dam it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the morning breakfast a good way to start the day. I'd stay here again.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam for a few days. I had read review after review of canal houses in Amsterdam, but had not been able to decide which one to book with. Originally I had thought about finding a place located between the major museums thinking we could walk to them. But...

Perfect, couldn't have asked for a better location, we had not travelled to Amsterdam before but we were very lucky with our choice of hotel - RIGHT IN THE HEART OF IT!! The rooms are great with a double bed, desk, flat screen telly and en suite - they're not big by any stretch of the imagination - but they're...

The hotel was centrally located-just 3-5 min from the central station and easy to find. The stuff was helpful too. The breakfast was also pretty good-coffee,tea, juice, milk, eggs, cheese, ham, bread of different types, and some cakes plus oranges and apples. On the other side there were some defects lets say. The room (double) was pretty small-had little difficulty in opening...

The staff were welcoming from the very beginning to the end, even after I had my wallet stolen (with my key card too which I shouldn't have taken it with me), they were understanding and helpful in the situation. The free room safe was a god send in this situation. When booking I requested for a canal view from which...

I liked staying in this hotel. Very nice location - it's in Singel channel, near to city center, but rather quiet place. Personel was very polite and was ready to give usefull advices about visiting different places of interest. Service and cleanliness of room was good, furniture is also in good condition. My room was small (with bath!), but it...

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
