Stayed here for 3 nights and it was spot on, 2 mins walk from Rembrandt Square, 10 mins to Dam square and 15 mins to central station. Rooms were very clean, towels and bed linen changed daily. No complaints at all would definitely stay here next time

The Hotel Nes has a great LOCATION, on a canal, many rooms have a canal view. The friendly helpful staff assisted with luggage, directions, reservations for dinner. Good breakfast with lots of choices. I would definitely consider staying here again when I go back to Amsterdam.

My friend and I stayed here in a double room for 3 nights. The room was small but comfortable and clean with free wifi and a small locker. The bathroom was also small but clean and fit for purpose. Our room was on the 4th floor and was quiet and peaceful with no noise from the streets. Excellent location too,...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights for my friend's hen weekend. The hotel is in an excellent location near to the bars, restaurants and shops in Rembrandtplein square. It was only a short walk to the red light district (about 10 mins). We had a beautiful view of the canal from one of the superior rooms. The hotel room...

An ideal place to stay to visit Amsterdam. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Worth upgrading to deluxe room with a view over canal. Really enjoyed sitting on bed with windows wide open looking out over canal. Excellent location about 10 minutes walk from Museums in one direction and Red light area in other direction. A bit noisy at...

This is a review of the annex, maybe the main hotel is nicer. We stayed here for a quick stopover at AMS. I suggest you avoid the annex. As mentioned in previous reviews, staff wasn't rude, but nor were they helpful. When we complained the wifi did not work in our room, the man at the front desk simply said...

Arrived here this evening. Paid 100 euros for a taxi that took us to wrong hotel so not impressed to begin with. Then when we arrived at the hotel it looked nothing like it does on the website. The room wasn't big enough to swing a cat! You need to use the elevator as the stairs are so narrow and...

Stayed here for a weekend in December. Hotel staff were ok, not overly friendly but not offensive either. Good location, about 10 mins walk to Red light district, 30 mins walk to train station and 5 mins from Rembrandt square. Right on the canal, so good views. Rooms were very basic and very small. Kettles and hair dryers in room...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
