We had booked a small double. Upon arrival, tired and jet lagged before lunch, we were graciously shown the garden room at no extra charge and we settled right in! This room is right on the ground so no stair climbing is required. Breakfast is v. adequate for 7.50 euros each: juices, coffee machine to satisfy all types, fruit, yogourt,... More

We booked this hotel very last minute! We was welcomed by a very informative man who every money would point us in the right direction. The hotels location is perfect if you don't want to be in dam square, which is full of small cafes and home to the red light district. Dam square was an easy 15 minute tram... More

Small hotel, just round the corner from the Concert Hall and within easy walking distance of the Van Gogh museum and Riyksmuseum. Rooms are quite small, but clean and functional. Good breakfasts, and free all-day hot drinks available from a machine - which was a nice touch. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. As other reviewers have said, it's very... More

The location is great, 3 minutes from the bus stop ( 197 to the airport), 8 minutes from the main museums . Little but cosy rooms, modern bathroom, a tea set, wifi in all the rooms, awhatever you need for a reasonable price. I was lucky to find this accomodation) . We were even offered to buy tickets to skip... More

The hotel was easily accessible from the airport, and does have a reasonably good location and transport links. Although I feel the rooms within the hotel are ridiculously small, I had booked a double room for me and my partner, when we arrived at our room we had been given a twin room with two single beds?! we led down... The hotel was an easy access from the airport. Using Bus 197 or N97 and spending €5 each way it was then only 150m to the hotel. The Hotel is right by the Concert hall and a #14 tram and €1 to the very centre of the city. The reception staff were wonderful, helpful, multi lingual and a well of... More

I've been staying at a lot of Hotels in Amsterdam, but none was as comforting, sophisticated and friendly as the Concert Hotel with its prime location! We've experienced Amsterdam from its most beautiful side, thanks to its great location. Right next to Museumsplein, it is central and close to my favorite part of Amsterdam- Oud West. It's definitely worth taking... More

The hotel was really pricey (we paid around 140 eur per night per two) for what it offers. Museum area is just few minutes away from the hotel, which makes the location perfect for culture lovers. Tram station is in front of the hotel, and the bus connecting the airport with the city is also stopping near the hotel. The... More

The hotel is in the museum area, next to shops, market, parks and buses, about 20 minutes by bus from the airport. Dam square is only half an hour by feet and other place in town are easily reachable. Staff is very kind.

Just a short walk to the Tram to take you to the Central area. Short walk to several great museums. Rooms were clean but in need of maintenance. Toilet seat loose, faucet cap loose, stair treads loose. Very tiny room but efficient. Not a place to spend a lot of waking hours due to size. Breakfast was good, not a... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
