I stayed there in March 2017 for a business trip. I almost missed my flight back to the US because the hotel did not place the wake up call I requested. The bed was uncomfortable with big spongy pillows. It was woken up by noise of people coming back to the rooms drunken and loud at late hours. The breakfast...

Stayed here whilst on a short city break to Amsterdam and couldn't recommend it highly enough. We arrived to Central Station around midnight and had no problem getting a taxi to the hotel (which cost €11). The reception is extremely modern and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and gave us great tips for exploring the city. We had...

We booked in Ibis Centre Stopera due to the fact it was close to the train station and at the same time away from the busy streets next to the station and the red light district. The check in was smooth, reception employees were great, smiling and very respectful. On the checkout we left our bags in the storage until...

Good location, near to metro and tram stops, which are both handy for getting around, and getting to Centraal Station (and onwards to airport). Room was small, but bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was smaller than what you would expect in UK/Irish hotel rooms, but shower was good and each day everything was cleaned very well. There is only the...

Hotel is roughly 15 minutes walk from central station and another 15 minutes walk to centre of Amsterdam. The room was very clean and spacious in comparison to other Ibis I have stayed in before. Downfall was there were a crowd of people shouting and making lots of noise in the corridor at 3am for 30minutes at least. Seems there...

Nice hotel, about a 10 minute walk from town. Nice cafes and bar near by so we'd pit stop for a brew on the way to town. There's a flea market on Fridays nearby, that's an interesting visit. The hotel was nice and clean and we had a comfy bed. The bathroom is clean and basic but just what you...

The Ibis is a great place to stay in Amsterdam if you're on a budget. For the amount you're paying, it's an amazing hotel--great location, comfortable rooms, and welcoming lobby space. Breakfast is pricey--there are much cheaper breakfast spots nearby--but everything else is a great value. I would highly recommend it!

The check-in and check-out process was quick and painless thanks to the online process. I enjoyed the reception staff who were all friendly. The location of the hotel is good. Not too outside the hustle and bustle of the inner city but close enough do you can walk. The room was clean and the size was good.

Stayed here for a long weekend this weekend past. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly with a great stocked bar and nice restaurant. Albeit a bit pricey. Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
