I've been 2 times in this hotel (2011 and 2014). The pattern of quality remain the same. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and organized. The staff speak English fluently and the location is very good, because it's near Central Train Station.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Within 200 meters from the centraal station. Made this a good base to explore both Amsterdam itself or to hop round to the other dutch towns by train. Even though train tracks run through the two blocks, amazingly there was absolutely no sound coming from the trains. The hotel feels new modern and clean. Bed...

My wife and have just returned home after another visit to this beautiful and friendly city. We chose to stay at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre as we had stayed here last year and really like the convenience of its location; right next door to Central Station and the tram stops. We emailed ahead to see if we could get a...

Stayed here for a few days and have to say was over all impressed. Close to the centraal station, clean, good sized room & Great service from all the staff, made this an excellent base for exploring Amsterdam. Breakfast was a bit on the steep side but being so close to the Dam and main shopping area's you could take...

I found this hotel very useful for my purposes: i had to spend a single night near the station in Amsterdam and I slept very well in this hotel. The bathroom is just big enough, but the shower is large. Recommended for business trips. Good Breakfast too

What a convenient place to stay! Right next to the railway station and bus center, it couln't have a better location. If you want a small, clean, accomodating room at a below reasonable price - it has it. If you want a large luxury, all inclusive suite - it has it, and everything in between. It is quiet, clean with...

The Ibis Amsterdam Centre is very well situated - directly next to the main train station and the river cruises' docking area. It's a good hotel for a business or transfer stay-over; but not for a holiday (the rooms are small, but clean). The price is also not bad. It's a good budget hotel. Their little restaurant's "Bitterballs" are divine!!!!

Dear EBotes, Thank you for choosing Ibis Amsterdam Centre. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. The size of the rooms and bathrooms is something we can't change. There's so much to explore right at our doorstep that it would almost be a waste of time to stay in the room! Hopefully we can welcome you again...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
