Have just arrived back home from staying here at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre yesterday, overall we are very happy with our stay. Easy and welcoming experience from start to finish. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, room was decent size for 2 people for 3 nights and very clean. The best thing about this hotel...

We stayed here over the Easter weekend in a twin room. Completed the online check in, which made it easy when we arrived at the hotel. Unfortunately there was an issue with the mattress which had a large raised lump that ran from the foot of the bed to the top. I rang reception to let them know about the...

That is a hotel we booked for four nights. It has got great location, only three minutes' walk from Central Station, here in Amsterdam. The hotel is also close to the shopping area, that is, the Dam Square, Kalverstraat and 9 Streets area. Then comes also lively Jordaan area with connection to the Anne Frank House. Just like the other...

Great location & friendly staff, The location was good and easy to find, the staff were friendly. The Breakfast was good enough - coffee machine was good. The Rooms were clean etc. But small, particularly the bathroom.

We really enjoyed our visit. The hotel is quite basic, but clean and the staff is helpful. All our needs were met and the restaurant was fine for a lite meal. Gohar in the lounge was very helpful and so polite. The location of the hotel can't be beat - right next to the Central Station so hopping on and...

Stayed for 3 nights. Extremely handy location. Cleaned daily. Very friendly staff. Didn't eat here but found the snack and drink shop useful. Is very basic but clean and warm. We stayed on the fifth floor at the front and found that noise wasn't an issue. Would recommend and stay again

We loved the location, very close to Central Station. When we arrived at Central Station, we just had to walk around 2 minutes. The hotel is also close with attraction like dam square, chinatown, etc. The staff was excellent, they gave us room with a nice view. When we asked how to rent a bike, they show us a rental...

The location nearby the Central Station is the main attraction but service is good enough. Even as many of other hotels are a walking distance from the Central Station they are located across the street and a bit tiring in case you have luggages to carry. A lot of attractions and restaurants as well as the commercial streets are a...

This is not going to win prizes for character but if you've booked an Ibis you probably know that. As usual it always feel like there is a lack of storage space. Perhaps a few more hooks on the wall would fix that. Similarly tea and coffee making facilities in the room would not go amiss i.e. a kettle! If...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
