Perfectly located, but still away from the partyanimals. Genuin rooms with atmosphere, but still all you need if the focus is business. Gentle and observant staff always taking care of me. This is my first choice when going to Amsterdam

No surprises here. An as described hotel, with courteous staff, slightly dated but clean rooms, and a great restaurant. Right in the middle of the Old City and a short walk to many attractions. I would stay again.

My husband is a keen marine fish enthusiast so when i saw this hotel had large Aqua Dom we fancied a look. We visited in the evening not knowing the protocol for non guests. I was so pleased with what we found. As my hubby fixated on the tank I was more than happy to enjoy a few drinks in...

The hotel is located 10 minutes away from Dam Square and the Central Station. The rooms are good (like all Radisson hotels I have ever been, they look all the same pretty much). Good price for value. It is located in between two canals and very close to Red Light District as well.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. I had a number of requests and all were met with a pleasant smile and cheerful exchange. We had a prepaid/non refundable room so the rate was very reasonable. The room was clean and well maintained. We were on the fourth floor and did not hear any street noise. The location was perfect for all...

Fabulous place to stay. Rooms are beautiful with all the amenities including an iron and ironing board. The location could not be better for seeing the sites. Great food and bar at the hotel if you are too tired from a day of site seeing to go out. Close to everything. Concierge is very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

I was in the hotel for business purposes. Everything was perfect. The staff is really nice and helpful. And the room was great. The hotel is also well located to visit Amsterdam. The only negative point would be the price of the room.

Arrived from the airport to the station for 5 euros each, one way. Jumped in one of the numerous taxis outside courtesy of the taxi marshall and were at the hotel in under 5 minutes and cost 10 euros. Arrived to be checked in by Nicolette, very helpful, very knowledgeable and provided a free tourist map and pointed out areas...

A good quality hotel with decent rooms, we were very happy with our actual stay at the hotel. But, we ordered a taxi and were asked if we wanted a taxi where we could pay cash or one where we could pay with card. Being as it was our last day we wanted to pay by card for the short...

Checked in to stay for a night and ended up staying for a week as we enjoyed our stay and sumptuous breakfast as well as service. Although reasonable price worth it. Room was brilliant and spacious. Staff excellent and shoe shine machine on the floor was a bonus. Definitely recommend it.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
