A very nice hotel in a perfect location. The breakfast was above my expectations from a 4 star hotel. Special "Thank you" to Ilie at Reception, who handled a delicate situation tactfully and professionally, thus avoiding further escalation.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to many attractions. We also liked pleasant staff and tasty breakfast. Every man we talked at the reception, breakfast, bar were polite and helpful. What we did not like was our room facing the lobby, uncomfortable beds, the towels and soaps were not changed by the housekeeper. Still I would recommend this...

Stayed 2 nights with breakfast included on the 3rd floor, room 333. King size bed, gorgeous shower and very spacious. Beds were very comfortable, pillows are amazing and the 50 inch samsung lcd smart screen tv is always a bonus! Breakfast was delicious! Pastries, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, pancakes the lot! Right in the heart of Amsterdam and is a...

I had booked a junior suite and this was expensive for three night but as it was for an anniversary I didn't mind. When we were shown our room I was so disappointed as it was a strangely shaped room reminding us of a room on a cruise ship! Even though upon booking we had been promised a city or...

Good service and clean. Bath nice. Bed nice. Service was good and polite members of staff. Pretty good location as well. Was my second stay here and would recommend it as somewhere where there is no fuss and it's clean

Stayed here for one night whilst on business, hotel was nice with spacious rooms and free wi fi. The hotel is across two roads so you walk in the hotel underneath the road to get to one part of it. Service was good and general decor of the hotel was modern and stylish, ate at the restaurant which was also...

Very good hotel, modern, silent, fair room space. Great location, close to many attractions, bars and restaurants. Breakfast is also very good, but in our case it was not included, so we had to pay the regular price, which was a little bit expensive (around 25 euros).

staff were very proactive and helpful, hotel is modern and clean - well located to discover Amsterdam and to work there, restaurants around are interesting and services are fine - mostly a very good experience - even if business rooms are very smal

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon. We ended up finding it on our second day, the first "hotel" having been a bust (using the word hotel losely there). After quite a horrific night, finding Radison Blu was such a breath of fresh air. The man at the check in desk (I didn't get anyone's names unfortunately) was absolutely...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
