This hotel was beautiful, conveniently located and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We made a booking error and changed at the last minute to this hotel. What a stroke of luck! The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom fully stocked with great towels and products. The breakfast buffet was amazing with all kinds...

We upgraded our room and the size was barely adequate. Just not the most comfortable place we've ever been. Location is nice. Amsterdam is a great walking city. Loved wandering the cobbled streets around the hotel area. Be careful! You don't get coffee in a coffee shop! For coffee, you'll need a cafe. 😊

The hotel was excellent. The location was perfect. Comfortable rooms and beds. Clean and extremely spacious. The staff throughout the hotel were first-class. Professional and always attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Amsterdam.

The hotel is very well located. You can walk to visit the main touristic places and to access public transportation to go everywhere. The food in the hotel is good and rooms are cozy and clean. The place is even accessible by boats when having tours though the Canals.

The Radisson Blu was a bit of a disappointment. The lobby was clean and had an upscale look to it but it went downhill from there. My room was clean but no comfort items at all to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Nobody went over the room amenities with me and I was left to figure things out on...

The Hotel is situated in the middle of the city center and is very well accessible. More importantly, the service level is outstanding. Rooms are good and the guest relation manager is capable of making your trip extraordinary. The rooms are decent, though the TV's are in the position to be updated to a new model. Rooms are quiet, very...

This is a good hotel in good location - it is accessible and quiet. A good breakfast buffet was include in our package. It is walkable to most attractions in the main part of the city. It is comfortable for sleeping but do phone the front desk to manage the room temperature.

good location, breakfast and dinning areas too small for the number of rooms.. it could get crowded concierge and front desk staff was friendly and courteous. the rooms were clean , would have preferred a shower rather than a bath tub as it was somewhat difficult to climb in and out

My first time in Amsterdam, I chose this hotel because of the location. The building with the blue neon Radisson sign on top of the roof is NOT the hotel, the hotel is on that street but inside that street, I'm assuming that sign is there so people don't miss the hotel as they're looking for it. The hotel is...

Thank you for elaborating on your true Amsterdam experience. Indeed, it is true our main entrance is located across from the building with our logo on it and we are most central in the heart of Amsterdam, but not on a too busy of a street in a city that offers something for everyone. Thank you for your compliments towards...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
