This hotel located in 10-15 min walking to the Museum Square in a quite neighborhood. The best hotel to stay if you want to avoid tourist crowds. Both good for business and for leisure. Food is excellent, swimming pool is big, staff is very helpful.

Clearly this is a good hotel but not as good as it should be. I had to wait 35 minutes to check in when I arrived, and then had to return 2 minutes later when the room key didn't work. Not a great start. The rooms are nice, but not outstanding. I would recommened budgetting to double your room rate...

Very friendly staff, Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the lunch as well. We had a room at 14' level and the view of Amsterdam was amassing. We enjoyed the n espresso at room and the sky bar at 24'level. The newspaper in the morning at room makes it of.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday by visiting Amsterdam. The three night break was made special by the assistance of the hotel team notably Jordi and Lex. Nothing was too much trouble for them as they very professionally advised and arranged our treats and requirements e.g. Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank and canal cruise etc etc... The hotel itself...

We spent a long weekend here in January. Its a very nice hotel, with lovely city views. We stayed in an executive room, very nice! We actually ended up having 3 of four dinners here, the food is excellent! Lovely, romantic dinner at Le ciel bleu, the food was stunning, and the service professional, but very friendly. It is a...

Staying in Amsterdam on business the Okura is a good bet. This Japanese themed (and owned) hotel boasts three Michelin starred restaurants (out of a total of twelve in Amsterdam) and the two I dined in were excellent. The rooms are modern and well appointed (although for some reason the heat in my room was sub-optimal). The bathrooms near luxury....

I think I bagged the bargain of the decade so far, a last-minute Top Secret deal (I knew it was the Okura in advance), and I've wanted to stay here for some time, but being on the outskirts of the city, I took the punt this time as I drove there. But before booking I spoke at length with a...

I don't know if this is the best hotel in Amsterdam, because I never stay anywhere else. Every time the welcome is warm, the rooms good, the food really great and a wide choice. Hard to say anything other than solid brilliant. You get what you pay for - in Amsterdam for sure.

A 4 night room only stay. This hotel is in a great location a 30 minute walk from Dam Square. Excellent tram connections to museum quarter and city centre. The surrounding area especially near the market has some nice bars and restaurants for breakfast and evening meals. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. The standard room wifi was...

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students.
