Hotel Okura is in a lovely neighborhood along a canal with numerous shops and restaurants and just a short walk to tram stops. The room is spacious and well appointed. All the staff we encountered were anxious to be of help. Happy we chose this property as our base to see Amsterdam.

Experience was largely great. The facilities appeared to be wonderful. I think there were four Michelin-starred restaurants. Would have loved to have dined but definitely out of my price range. Joined the membership programming before I arrived although couldn't receive the benefits as I'd booked our room via a reseller and not direct. WiFi wasn't great. Had to login all...

I just visited Hotel Okura on a quick one night stop over. This is a VERY business / airport style hotel (although close to city centre) and I would not recommend if you really want to explore inside Amsterdam *Rooms are big but feel old and not very stylish (feels like it needs an upgrade). I will admit I did...

We have booked 2 rooms. Good rooms but some issues: 1. We waited for more than 30 min for check in 2. We had issues with the parking ticket: normally system will detect the car plate, but it never worked, we had to get out of the car, and register our plate everyday! And I will not talk about the...

Stayed here for the weekend with my wife and have to say that overall it's a great base for a lovely weekend in Amsterdam. Other reviewers are right when they say that the location hits a sweet spot of being out of the touristy areas but close to the centre and easy for transport. We didn't try the restaurants as...

Not sure about the value for the dollar if you pay full price, but this hotel apparently frequently shows up at discounted rates, which is how I ended up here. Overlooking a canal, if you're lucky (our room looked out at the car park), the rooms are big by European standards and the bathroom downright luxurious. The location is a...

The Okura staff is top notch; the rooms more simple and elegant and beds much more comfortable, than the pictures reveal. Auto closet lights, a substantial sized safe, massive windows with darkening curtains. You may take a shower, while drinking the excellent Nupresso coffee, (machine in the room), and look out over the beautiful Amsterdam skyline, all in the same...

We heve just spent the week-end at this hotel and we had a great time! Is not much else that I can add. Our room was spotless and with fantastic views over the city. It is worth going to the bar at the 23rd floor to enjoy even better ones! The Concierge was very helpful getting us tickets for the...

This is a wonderful hotel located in a quiet area but close to everything. I read in a couple reviews the hotel was not centrally located. While it's true this hotel is not in the middle of the tourist crush, it is in a great location; a brief walk to the market, wonderful restaurants to walk to and a tram...

We had three days there, the hotel is beautiful, spacious room with lovely bathroom. One of the elevator was not smooth and the car park system as well. We got the trouble when access denied. What I love more this hotel are two restaurants Ciel Bleu and Teppanyaki.

Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students.
