The view is beautiful. Hotel Okura has a very helpful staff they make you feel taken care of, spoiled even. The bar on the 23rd floor is one of the most romantic I've ever been too. The bartenders are very nice and will make whatever you want. Have stayed there twice and will definitely stay again any time we are...

Quiet excellence. Efficient, clean, courteous, helpful, nothing lacking. Beautiful. Welcoming to early arrivals. Easy bus connections to anywhere in the city. The hotel was full, so some of us had to wait for our rooms, but they got things sorted out fairly expeditiously and without drama.

First of all, I want to say about their amazing Japanese Resaturant with traditional kaiseki, sushi and sashimi. Service was excellent and food was just great! But from the overall experience I should say, that the hotel service could be better. And that's why: The room is good, but we saw some stains on the decor pillow and some mold...

Japanese efficiency and charm in the middle of Amsterdam. Rooms are perfect and lack for nothing. Excellent facilities, including a good spa and a convenient and secure underground car park with direct access to the rooms. Some of the best restaurants in Amsterdam are here, including Yamazato (must be one of the best Japanese restaurants outside Japan) and a fantastic...

This was our fourth stay in a year at Okura and it never gets boring :) We received an upgrade to the corner suite on the 19th floor. When we entered the suite, a sweet birthday cake with red fruits was waiting for us on the coffee table. This suite is roomy and elegant. The style is a little bit...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
