Firstly, for all the years I have been living in the Netherlands Okura has been known to me as a hidden gem in Amsterdam for all who appreciate tasteful ambiance and good culinary experience. The side that I have not known till recently is also hosting events for large groups, such as Nyenrode Finance Circle drinks on the 23rd floor....

We loved staying at this hotel. Our room had great views of Amsterdam, everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was exceptional, upstairs bar had a great selection of cocktails. The hotel has secure underground parking. Hotel is based in a quiet De Pijp neighbourhood.

First thing -- Okura is located in a charming neighborhood with plenty of action around it. I've heard it described elsewhere as "sleepy," and while it is not the Red Light District, you will find plenty of restaurants, cafes, and even a brewery within walking distance. The hotel, while modern, is located on a charming canal and surrounded by charming...

We stay regularly at Okura. The rooms are perfect and clean. Breakfast has a huge selection of items to choose from. The Executive Lounge is a perfect spot to have a meeting or just relax and have a coffee. All their restaurants are good. The hotel has underground parking and good connections via public transport. Ask for a taxi voucher...

Amazing food in thr sazanka restaurant. Japanese food with a michelin star. Sky bar is a nice place to hang out with a cocktail. Location is close to Amsterdam south, the place to go to when spending money. Amsterdam city centre not too far.

We made a last minute reservation and decision to visit Amsterdam and stayed with Okura and it turned out to be one of smartest decision we made on our trip. Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
