So there is a reason why my hotel preference is Hyatt and not Marriott and this hotel sums it up. It's a great location but Marriott gives you nothing!! Not even water in your room and they charge you something like 10 Euros for Internet in your room or 19 Euros for high speed which is ridiculously! Who even does...

Everything about the hotel was completely comfortable and relaxing and they had an amazing staff when it came to a case of emergency like the one we experienced by loosing our personal belongings and they managed it with great success. I would like to mention one in specific that we owe him a great deal after making it possible to...

Unfortunately the "Chat Now" on Marriott.com gave me an email address that never gets answered. The email address that's mentioned from Guest Services on tripadvisor when a reply is made about a review, is undeliverable. This one works-amsterdam.guestservices@renhotels.com. So...I had 3 emails that were never replied to concerning trains running during New Years Eve and New Years Day. Due to...

I chose this hotel for my short business stay. The hotel staff was very polite and proactive. The room ambience was good. I chose to have the lounge access but the lounge breakfast was very limited and not value for money. Overall the location of the hotel was convenient and close to the Amsterdam Centraal station. I would recommend this...

This hotel is close enough to the train station to access it within a 3 minute walk, but tucked away on a side street away from the heavy traffic. Staff was wonderful, especially Ismail. He helped us with spur of the moment dinner reservations at Van Speyk on Christmas. He also remembered us a few days later when we stopped...

I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel and it's staff. From check in, to guest services, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, bar etc. I read a few bad reviews and was hesitant to book , but am so glad I did. The rooms are super clean- on the smaller side but hey, it's Europe. Everything is modern and clean!...

Having had our flight canceled for a night we looked forward to having an unplanned night in one of our favorite cities. With it being last minute around the new year, many places were sold out, but the Renaissance had rooms for the 4 of us...what a total disappointment. As a platinum member, I'd been regularly staying at this hotel...

Excellent Hotel, couldn't have picked a better location. 5 minute walk from the train station. Room - excellent and friendly staff, close to the Square and all the attractions. Didn't eat at the hotel, that was a little overpriced.

Stayed for one night for duty travel and there were no issues to report. The check in was friendly and swift, rooms clean with varying view (mine had an alley) and most sight seeing sites are close by. The famous red light district is at a walking distance and a walk through the canals is right around the corner.

The location of the hotel is excellent: very close to the Railway Station (the best way to get from the airport is the train that runs every 15 min); a nice and helpful personnel. Especially "the Navigator" an employee that knows everything: how you can get to any point in the city, best deals in ticketing and even sells all...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
