This new hotel in central Amsterdam, associated with the Hoxton in London, opened three weeks before our visit. Everything was immaculate, with quirky vintage décor throughout the building. Hipster heaven. It’s fifteen minutes’ walk from the main train station in one direction, and the Rijksmuseum in another. In fact most of Amsterdam’s attractions were in comfortable walking distance. Shops, cafes...

Immaculate?! Hooray!! Thanks so much for your review, we are pretty chuffed that we were the highlight of your five week trip ☺ SO sorry about the bathroom exhaust duct incident…not cool at all and if we do catch anyone smoking in the rooms we will slap 'em with a fine. Hope to see you back again soon!

I really was looking forward to staying here having read so many great things about Hoxton, however I can't say that I left feeling like I would book to stay here again. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and I guess this is where I prefer to stay at SPG properties as there was no acknowledgment or anything special...

We chose the The Hoxton based on a previous stay in Shoreditch, London. This hotel did not disappoint and the location allowed us to find some amazing shops, restaurants and bars in the Jordaan area of the city which was a short walk away. Staff were very welcoming both at reception and in the bar and restaurant!!!! Will definitely return...

Having stayed in the London Hoxton, I decided to try the new Amsterdam hotel just after it opened. The relaxed but efficient vibe is the same. I travel solo for business a lot and so I like a hotel where I can have a drink in the bar without feeling uncomfortable - the lobby bar in the Hoxton was perfect...

Everything we had read about this hotel was true. Service exceptional, location ideal, room fantastic (we had upgraded and given room 410 -great views of the Herengracht Canal). We did not eat in the hotel, but amazingly reception sells wine and beer, for consumption in your room, at prices at least as good as the supermarkets! And they have lovely...

HOORAY!! So glad you loved us, we loved having you (and we love Tina too)! We must agree with you about those canal views. Next time give the Lotti’s restaurant a go, we have a feeling you might like it. Hope to see you again real soon.

This was a nicely appointed hotels. Rooms were large and bed was super comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice although they seem to have some sort of heat control on the showers so the water never really got hot enough. We had an interior room, which shockingly still let in quite a bit of light. Obviously, an exterior room is...

Thanks so much for your review! Glad you enjoyed your super comfortable bed, breakfast bag and roomy room. We’ll let the maintenance team know about the temperature – nothing beats a nice hot shower and we want all our bathrooms to be steaming. We will also feed back to the team re local training; we definitely want to be able...

YAY! We think that you are exceptional too ☺ We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and found us a little different. We’ll be sure to let the team know to give tall people a “heads up” (pun intended). Unfortunately as the building is extremely old some of the attic rooms do have the original beams on the ceiling. Thanks for...

Stayed here last weekend. Arrived early morning but as a room was available we were allowed to check in. The room wasn't as small as I expected from the reviews and only tight bit was between one corner at bottom of bed and bathroom door.Small hanging space but storage under bed was enough. Water and a carton of milk in...

This hotel has a great vibe. The staff are incredibly helpful. Our room was small but clean and had a lovely view of the canal. The hotel has a bar/restaurant which is full of comfortable couches and chairs - perfect for relaxing and making plans. The hotel is within walking distance of many sites and museums.

I stayed there for two nights in Mid-Sept 2015. We booked 3 cosy rooms. The hotel was superb. Staff was helpful and friendly, hotel was neat and tidy and the location was just perfect.
