We went back to the Hotel Estherea because of our great experience there 4 years ago. It's the most charming, lovely hotel, perfectly situated on the Singel Canal, near all of the major sights in Amsterdam, but quiet. The public areas and rooms are beautifully decorated and the service excellent. I can't imagine a better place for a romantic holiday...

We booked into this place based on its Trip Advisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful. Some might think its a bit OTT, but we thought it was charming. They keep it in such good condition. The common areas were great, with a few rooms you could hang out in, read the paper, or watch...

Lovely boutique hotel, close to restaurants, shops and Dam Square. Staff very helpful and attentive. Free coffee, hot choc etc. any time in the lobby. Great room and comfy bed, unfortunately we only had a street view and no wi-fi at the time.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we felt like valued guests. The sumptuous decor, attentive service, beautiful room overlooking the canal and a perfect location near all the sights -what a wonderful hotel!

My family shared two rooms for 3 nights. The rooms are small, but elegant and clean. Although relatively expensive, the hotel is fairly priced. The prepaid breakfast price of 13 euros is tolerable, but would clearly not be worth the 18 euros for the non prepaid price. The best part about the hotel is its location and close proximity to...

The first night at this hotel was very noisy as I was in a room just above the canals and there were lots of party boats going by (but I think this is mostly on the weekend). I spoke to reception the next morning and they were very obliging and moved me to a quieter room with a view of...

Very nice hotel, very well decorated, smiling staff and in a picturesque part of Amsterdam. Very nice breakfast buffet even olives... The only downside is it is a little away the museumplein and if you plan to visit the many museums and the concertgebauw it may be wiser to get a public transport card. We had none and had to...

This lovely boutique hotel is charming and perfectly located for walking everywhere in central Amsterdam. Many restaurants and shops are close by, and it sits on the beautiful Singel Canal. Dam Square is only a few minute's walk away.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Estherea. The rooms were comfortable and charming...not big, but so smartly planned that we didn't feel cramped. Little details made the hotel especially memorable; for example, there was complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in to-go cups all day, as well as chocolates. There are little nooks built in to the furniture...

Fabulous small hotel located in the best part of the city. We were upgraded to a street view from a courtyard view which was lovely as the courtyard does not have a good view. We had room 303 and the double glazing kept out the noise of any street activity below. Cafés and shops in street behind hotel and others...

Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
