For museum lovers, the location of this hotel can't be beat. Van Gogh museum, Riksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Moco are literally right around the corner. Rooms are decent sized and clean. Good service.

We thought this hotel was perfect for our 5 night stay. Rijksmuseum tram stop is a 2 min walk away. You can get anywhere from this stop. Get the 7 day tram/bus pass at the airport and you're set. From Schipol Airport we took the 197 bus directly to this stop for the hotel. The hotel staff is welcoming and...

A nice hotel which is situated in a brilliant location for the museums and is also close to the centre of the city (Amsterdam is very 'walkable'!). the rooms were modern and clean, the staff were friendly, the en suite bathroom was a little cramped. Overall a very positive experience

Overall excellent experience with front desk team. Well-mannered and customer service skills were evident. English language skills particular strong, comparing to other neighboring European cities/countries.

We visited this hotel on a 4 night break on our first visit to Amsterdam. It is located on a quiet road just behind the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum and very close to the tram stop where you could get to the Central Station easily. The room was at the front with a balcony and was well equipped...

The hotel is in a quiet neighboorhood close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. The advantage of being a bit further from the city center is that it is quiet at night. Good public transport will bring you to the action in no time. We liked the room even though they were a bit small. For just two nights...

Nice and cosy hotel in the city centre. Close to the important museums and near trams and busses. Small rooms but doable for some nights. We had breakfast included, very good bread and choice for everyone.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for a trip to Amsterdam. Very close to the museums and the bus route to and from the airport. What stood out was the efficiency, helpfulness and cheerful disposition of all the staff we encountered. Would use it again.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
