Unfortunately the hotel and its facilities, in my experience, were not worthy the price. It was a business trip and this is where a 4 star hotel t have everything in place and working because you need to focus on work and you don’t want to spend time and energies on other stuff. The issues started before the trip when I tried to book directly through the hotel website and email and it took more than a week for them to reply forcing me to book through booking first and then as they were offering a better price, cancelling my reservation on booking. Then I asked for the shuttle bus to pick me up at the airport but also in that case due to the delay in the reply when they replied it seems it was too late as the service that day was operating only till 2pm. Pretty strange for an hotel in a big city like Amsterdam where you have flights day and night. So I took a taxi and arrived at the hotel. The first room they gave me was not clean and looked like someone just left leaving the bed unfold and the used towels still in the bathroom. So I went down at the reception and the staff there was very kind and apologized for the inconvenient and they gave me another room. The new room was fine even if it was cold and the ac it was not heating properly so the night was pretty hard. I was there on a business trip and my colleagues had the same complaints regarding the heating system but it seems there were nothing we could do. But the morning after I took a shower and I found out that the hairdryer was not working. Being on a business trip these small things can really stressed you out. So I went down again at the reception asking for an hairdryer as the one in the room was one of those hanging on the wall but I imagined they could have had other normal hairdryer available. Unfortunately they didn’t have them and they suggested me to change the room so for the third time the last day of my trip I changed the room. In that room the soap box also one of those hanging on the wall was empty and there was no pressure for the hot water but by then I was really too tired to go down again and ask to fix it or be forced to move again to another room. So unfortunately my experience in terms of basic facilities for a 4 stars hotel was really not worthy the price. My suggestion to the staff and the management is to make sure that all the small and big things in the room are clean and properly working because this is what one expects when paying more than 100€ per night. Despite this and on a positive note, the staff was always very kind and willing to help. The restaurant at the 17th floor offers a 360 degree view of Amsterdam, the meeting rooms are functional and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly in all the areas of the hotel.

Yesterday I stayed in the Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark and the stay was really great. The already greeted me with a warm smile and the check-in was very smooth. I was given a room on one of the higher floors (15th) which gave me a great view over the city of Amsterdam, which is spectacular both by day and by night. The bed in the room was actually so good and comfy that I almost overslept my alarm clock. When you visit the hotel, make sure not to miss the Floor 17 restaurant with the spectacular rooftop bar. I heard that this is actually the highest rooftop bar in town!

This hotel belongs on a list of ‘hidden gems’ - good, modern facilities; comfortable, bright, clean rooms; and a most importantly, an exceptional staff who takes ‘an authentic welcome’ to a whole other level. I spent several days at this hotel and each interaction I had with the staff was professional, friendly, smart and helpful in a way you would expect only from a true luxury hotel. None of my crazy, unusual or difficult requests were met with anything but an enthusiastic willingness to help me out. I really can’t recommend this place highly enough.

I am in shock (almost literately). This morning, after last night's rain showers, the parking was partially flooded. This can happen, however the part where we park our bikes to get to the car, and also the hotel staff parks their bikes, was flooded up to my ankles but on the floor, in the water, were many power cords and open power strips! Super dangerous situation. This was at around 11AM, so nobody that came in for the night shift or morning shift had picked up on this. I sent an email at 2PM as it didn't feel ok letting this go. It was very upsetting that upon my return at 7PM NOTHING had been done about it. The parking was still flooded and all the cables and strips were still covered in the water. I find it really not OK that nobody cared enough to take action on such a dangerous situation.

I booked two rooms for April of last year and the hotel refused to the honor the reservation using the flimsiest reasons even though I could not travel due to Covid restrictions in the UK. I would never book with them again.
