Great hotel. I enjoyed my staying. The staff was nice and helpful, especially Thomas. The executive room - large, clean and comfortable. I found the water flow in the shower too weak. Location is great. Quiet elegant street.. Within walking distance to museums.

We booked the trip for 4 nights. The street was under construction so our driver parked at the closest cross street. We had Room 84 which was in the basement near the stairs. The room had a king bed, nice bathroom and was fine with plenty of storage. The tub (didn't use) was huge and very deep with jets. The...

Great boutique style hotel, we had an executive room, large for Europe standards, nice bathroom with separate shower, large tub, comfortable king size bed. Honour bar in lobby, within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. We just arrived back home after a 4-fay stay. There's nothing not to like about this hotel - location by Museumplein, it is wal king distance to great museums, excellent restaurants, trams and airport express bus. The real bonus is that despite this proximity to the above, the street and surrounding area does not have a touristy feel - unlike...

The hotel has a cozy, welcoming feeling. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was small but there is plenty of storage space and the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was included and was delicious, including omelettes, pancakes, waffles, fresh bread, fruit, meat, cheese, etc.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
