There was a hiccup with the booking so the room was double booked. Whilst it would have been better not to have happened, the hotel accepted full responsibility and did everything they could have possibly done to rectify the situation and couldn't have been more helpful. To me this the mark of quality management as to how the cope if...

Just back from a few days stay at the JL No. 76. Can only echo previous good comments and emphasise: superb location close to Van Gogh and other museums; very quiet residential area but in close walking proximity to bars and eateries on and adjacent to Museumplein (if you do not wish to eat at the hotel or in the...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel JL No76 for four nights in April 2017. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a small boutique hotel - only about 5 or 6 floors with maybe 10 rooms on each floor. We stayed in an executive room on the 3rd floor. The room size is typical for European hotels, but...

So kind staff! Willing to make us feel good. Smiling that we thought they love their jobs.Happy with hotel and eachother. Clean room. Modern art and political art in the lobby. Only thing I did not like was that our room was under ground with a small window near the roof

This was a lovely hotel. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The room was lovely and the cleanliness of the whole hotel was terrific. Situated in the Museum Quarter it's a great location and an easy walk to all attractions. Also the trams to the city centre are only a short walk away. Thoroughly recommend this...

With deep regret I must report we had a pair of jeans stolen or accidentally went missing from our room. The hotel policy states it does not take responsibility of items that go missing from the room. The only explanation offered was we must have left the door open. We know this not to be true or to be so...

Additionally I checked the security...

Front desk staff was outstanding with reservations, restaurants and orientation, especially Michal. Room are very compact but high tech makes them comfortable.. Loved the hot tub in bathroom with waterproof tv but it is not easy getting out of the high wall tub. Really suggest more grab rails especially for older guest. The breakfast was not up to expectations for...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
