The staff was overwhelmingly friendly when we arrived early in the morning after a Transatlantic flight. The front desk offered us breakfast while we waited for our room. We upgraded our room at check-in for twenty euro. Originally we booked a budget ground floor room. The room itself wasn't very large, but it was modern and bright and the hotel... More

This is really and truly one of the nicest small hotels I have ever stayed in. Perfect location, beautifully appointed, very helpful and warm staff. Splurge on a bigger room if you can -- they are much more spacious and simply stunning (I can heartily recommend room 101). My only knock is the restaurant, which has very limited offerings but... My wife and I recently spent three nights at Hotel JL No76. We found it to be an excellent hotel. It's located just two blocks from the closest tram stop and just a two blocks from the museums on a leafy quiet street. Perfect location really. A number of reviewers have commented on street repairs, for us they were a... More

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at this boutique hotel, centrally located near museums and other attractions. As some recent reviewers noted, the hotel is on a street under repair. It's a bit of a hike to get to the front door from where the taxi must drop you off. But that's not the hotel's fault. In fact,... More

This hotel is well run. Flexible with the bookings allowed an early check-in to a upgraded room at a very reasonable price or the alternative is to store your baggage. The hotel has a restaurant and room service if required. Location is very handy to the major museums of Amsterdam - one block from Van Gogh & Stedelijk Museums and... More

I Stayed in the Family room with 3 other Adults girls, bunk beds were nice and comfy, top bunk doesn't have a high edge so if you move a lot, i'd recommend you sleep at the bottom. the double bed is 2 singles pushed together, which worked out great for the 2 girls sharing, however may not be great for... I was here for the Amsterdam Dance Event, and what a great hotel for comfort, modern ambience, extremely helpful and friendly staff with super convenient location. There is even a relaxing little garden space to gather your thoughts and reflect.

I was looking for that special swanky boutique hotel for a short romantic getaway. Alas, this was not it. The street was blocked for repairs so we arrived on foot late evening in the cold rain. A wonderful three day visit to Amsterdam, due in large part to this outstanding hotel. I echo the remarks of other visitors in the 'Excellent' reviews list. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
