Aside from that accommodations were adequate, staff were friendly and the location was brilliant. Would have been a 4-5 star review for sure if not for this.
The boat was great, rooms were small and had bunk beds but we probably had the best sleeps of our entire trip there. There are 4 showers and 4 toilets total, everything is private. Everything was super clean, showers were warm and had good pressure....More

I really liked that I could sleep on a boat in a canal as opposed to the traditional accommodations. This place did not disappoint. Really tiny quarters for a 6ft 3in guy but still comfy. The staff were really cool and had maps...More
Friendly atmosphere, fair breakfast, good location 15/25 minutes to train station/center, hot shower 24h, free coffee/té 24h, small room (but it's a boat!), expensive for a hostel.
Must try if you want a new sleeping experience typical of Amsterdam.
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Here in this post-industrial (though in some parts still very much presently industrial) neighborhood, you’ll find a
smart selection of cool galleries and shops as well as the kid-friendly Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum.
