We stayed for 4 nights in november. This place is great. Simple and confortable room with free internet (and a computer for you to use!), good bathroom plus a small refrigerator and a small table and utensils (great for snacks!). Since it has an independent entrance straight to the street at ground level, you get the feeling you have your...

Thanks to Tarif for making our stay enjoyable. This pension is easily accessible from all parts of Amsterdam. The room is compact but it is clean and very comfortable, all we needed after arriving following a boat trip along the Danube and Rhine Rivers. It is close to the city centre and we ended up walking and walking and walking...

The room is located in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam which is quieter than being in the centre of town and is quite beautiful. Though you are out of the centre, the Anne Frank house is only a few minutes walk away and you can get to the museums within about 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I bought 96 hour...

Stayed here with my boyfriend during European travels. For the price of a hostel, you can have your own room and private entrance. Close to everything. Own bathroom. Wonderful find!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.

“The only thing I would make sure of before you book this is if the owners are going to be around or away. I think we could have had a different experience had they been there.”
