Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group of three couples, booked through BA Holidays. Fantastic location, we walked everywhere - 15 mins from station, 10 to Dam Square and 20 to museums, but despite being so central, was very peaceful with some canal views and lovely garden. Rooms are very stylish tho some are up very steep...

lady very nice but got a shock when we saw the room, so small and needed major updating, floor was not very clean and the bathroom was pretty disgusting, the shower curtain was disgusting and smelled like urine, we asked for a new one but never heard from the owner, only thing i can say is that it was close...

No A/C, mosquitoes, very dark rooms. The Canal House fails to meet its promise as a luxury, boutique hotel. The rooms are set in a very unusual and not comfortable way, black walls and floors, along with purple decor give a sad impression and makes it hard for people to feel comfortable. With no functioning A/C open windows let mosquitos...

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. Such a unique and quiet place. I feel relaxing each time we come back to the room. Staff were so professional and knowledgeable. All staff were so helpful. I definitely recommend this place to friends and family during their visit to Amsterdam. This will be my choice of boutique hotel in Amsterdam...

A surprise from my partner for my 21st birthday. Beautiful hotel, great views and friendly workers! The breakfasts were lovely! Very close to most attractions. Would stay again! Gorgeous rooms and very comfy bed! Recommend the ear plugs for the church sounds though haha!

If you are interested in old nice buildings with the history and amazing decor, it is a great choice for you. The locations is very central and breakfast is amazing. Plus the service is exception. The only thing to remember that if you would like to eat smth late at night, it isn't possible in the hotel.

We had been in Amsterdam when we were in our 20s; maybe even at this hotel. Amsterdam is very quirky ; elegant yet gritty and ,in late May, teeming with tourists. My biggest suggestion about the city is to take one of the canal boat tours in the early evening when the houses are lit but you can still see...

Knowing European hotels are nothing like those in the US, I was pleasantly surprised to see the pictures that were on this site. The short walk from the train station was definitely a plus. What a surprise when we walked into the place to find the room that we had looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. The bathroom was nothing...

Positive point - very good location, located directly on a canal and within about a 10 minute walk to the central train station. The free wifi was reasonably fast. The young lady who checked us in was nice and polite. Beyond, that, not much else positive to say about this place. The pictures and reviews on the various website are...

This is on a quiet canal side street, not far from the center of Amsterdam. It offers a real "neighborhood feel" for a visitor, rather than a hotel location. The manager was very helpful, and let us in to leave our bags even though we arrived early. From here we set out daily and mostly on foot to explore the...
