Fabulous stay, the staff is very frendly and helpful. We had the room without bathroom, good choice to save money and in the below floor only 3 rooms so there was never queue. Thanks for everything! !

The hotel is perfectly located in the central next to the vondel park, museums, restaurants, irish pubs and shopping streets. The room and the bathroom are clean and there was enough space for 5 peoples although the bath is a bit small for 5, but there was a second toilet on the floor. We were in the third floor and...

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and it was a great decision! Hotel has a perfect location, two blocks from the Leidseplein Square, but on the other hand on the quiet street in a lovely neighborhood along one of the canals. The staff is very friendly, helpful, makes you feel like home (thank you boss for everything!!!). The...

The hotel is very central, many main attractions can be reached on foot. It is a very clean hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly! I would gladly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well kept and the view from our room was lovely, we could see one of the canals.

great affordable dutch style breakfast. talented musos at the open mic night, great bar and atmosphere, quirky jazz rocknroll deco. Would stay again. Bathrooms were communal for the room i stayed in, but there was a sink provided. very cool place to crash for a night, would stay again :)

The Backstage Hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Amsterdam. For starters, the location was incredible. It was a 5 minute walk to get to a number of great places such as the Nine Streets shopping area, Leidseplein Square, and the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities one would need for...

Spent 3 nights at this hotel with my boyfriend. Wouldn't reccomend for couples, okay for a lads city break for somewhere to crash, however the toilet and shower facilities are communal and only a little sink in your room. We had one tiny window high up the wall, it was like being in a cell to be honest. Interior is...

The hostel is very well located and the staff is great. The downside is the rooms, which are quite small, but nothing that you cannot manage. Also, they do not have a lift, so be prepare. The only problem that I had was that one night i was quite tired and the music on the bar was a little bit...

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. I arrived early and left late, and the staff had no problem keeping my luggage until check-in/check-out. Overall, the people who worked there were very friendly and the hotel had a causal, laid-back feel that I really liked. I was actually surprised at how clean the shared bathrooms and showers are and...

Had a really great time here – staff were friendly and efficient, check in was easy and quick. Rooms were clean and compact, with the 'rock and roll' theme extending to the interiors. Lots of concert-style furniture and such. The breakfast was really nice. The surrounding area is really nice to explore too. It's very close to many live music...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
