We were visiting our daughter at the university and wanted a comfortable hotel with some history. This was an excellent choice. Ancient building in a beautiful square right in the middle of the city and close to the university. Wonderfully fitted out room with a great bathroom and beamed ceiling. Restaurant and bar good and staff very friendly. They also...

The Hotel is in an old remodeled palace and this is clearly visible in the layout of the place. Big beams in the middle of the room (at the exact height to be optimal to bump your head against) and the rooms are not square/boxlike like rooms from new hotels. The service was good and the rooms very clean. Very...

I lived in Groningen for many years and dined at the Prisenhof on several occasions. But this was my first time staying in the hotel. What a nice experience! The room was nicely furnished. Not too big but certainly sufficient. The real charm of this hotel lies in its location. Right in the city centre and yet, set amidst both...

We booked a night at the Prinsenhof Hotel because we were attracted by its great location and very positive customer reviews. We were indeed impressed by the way the hotel has been refurbished in historical surroundings. Historical and original details have been preserved and the hotel is on a great secluded spot, yet near to the city centre. It also...

We enjoyed an evening in the brasserie of the prinsenhof and really appreciated the great service and the tasty cooking of the chef, especially his fish preparations. The restaurant room is also exceptional, so Dutch! We loved our evening.

We spent a couple of days here while in town on business. I didn't know much about the hotel until we stepped into the courtyard. Part of the building is an original church from the 1400's, with other parts of the building renovated into amazing rooms and suites. Centuries old wood beams lined the ceiling of my room, which was...

I stayed that this hotel a couple a days ago and had a relative small room, with furniture in the room, that was more clutter then useful. No desk, and no real chair. The chair in the room was broken, the carpet, a skin of an animal was used up as if it was used to shave the barn wall...

We had a standard, but lovely room overlooking the garden. Extremely comfortable bed and great amenities. As a treat we ate the five course tasting menu in the a la carte restaurant which was fabulous - just didn't understand how the couple on the next table found their laptops more interesting than the food - or each other! Each to...

Beautiful hotel and take a few minutes to look around. Try to find the old details, they really did a good job renovating the place. Nice room. Great service and good breakfast. If you want to have dinner in the restaurant don't forget to make a reservation when you book a room. We were guests in the hotel but no...

This is a wonderful hotel. I have stayed numerous times for business trips. The staff is extremely warm and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The sheets and pillows are so soft and comfy as well. I am always disappointed to go home. Each room has a mini...
