Huge room scantily and cheaply furnished, no shampoo or proper soap, only liquid soap in dodgy dispensers, no kettle. At this price - €105 per night per double room - one usually also gets a mini-bar which is of course always a rip-off, but at least one can temporarily remove some over-priced drinks and chill one's own stuff. Fletcher just...

We also booked this hotel for one night with a coupon; therefore we were not expecting that much. We were actually quite surprised as soon as we entered the hotel; the staff from the reception was friendly, thoughtful and made us feel welcome. The fact that we were quite early (check-in is at 3pm, we were there at 1.30pm) was...

First of all, don't let the pictures of the hotel mislead you. Our room had nothing of the grandor that is promised on the site. We stayed at three star hotels that were fancier than what we got here. In the bathroom there were no miniature soap bars and shampoo. The plastic shower curtain on the plastic rail looked rather...

Although it wasn't easy for us to find the location of the hotel, and parking was a little ways away, this hotel was a lovely place to stay. The building is beautiful, and the room we had was huge. Everything was very clean, the decor was modern and updated, the heated floor in the bathroom was a really nice touch....

Nice hotel. Decent room! Clean. Beautiful hotel with lots of character. We booked two days before through a hotel bookings site on internet and got a good price. The hotel is in the middle of the city-center of Leeuwarden. within two minutes there are dozens of bars, shops and restaurants. Parking your car is 12,50 per night.

Rooms were just avarage, but that's Europe for you. I loved the pictures we took there. Some people said the service was not good. But I was the bride on that day, I guess no one would be mean to a bride, so I had a good time. And the location was perfect for us, cause city hall was just...

The hotel is smack in the centre of town so you really can't get a better location. But indeed the rooms have no character (totally modern) and there is little of the old flavour left except in large common rooms. Service is not fantastic especially compared to standards in the Netherlands. They are not awfully eager to help. Parking is...

We stayed in the "double deluxe room with shower", previously called the "business double" I think. It means you get a reasonable sized, characterless modern room in the annex. There are only 8 parking spaces at the hotel which means you are more than likely going to end up at the local car park, although the nearest one is closed...

We are frequent travelers to Friesland and thought a stay in a historic building would be a pleasant experience. Let me say first that the hotel itself is wonderful and we regret the lost night that we had to enjoy it to its fullest. We had the unpleasant experience of sharing the night with the annual Orange Ball on the...

In 2003 I stayed for three months in 't Stadhouderlijk Hof for business. I think this is the nicest hotel in Leeuwarden (there isn’t much to choose from) and is located at the heart of the city. In those three months I stayed in practically every kind of room available in the hotel, and all of them have a very...
