The Crewe and Harpur is situated in the heart of the tranquil Peak District village of Longnor. It is rented on an exclusive use self catering basis and perfect for large groups needing lots of space for dining, socialising and or even working together. The Crewe & Harpur has 8 double/twin rooms all with beautiful en-suite bathrooms in the main building. Just outside to the rear is a courtyard with three traditional stone built cottages (a three bedroom and two, two bedroom properties). The former coaching inn has been renovated to a fabulous standard yet retains many of the original features - guests can even enjoy private use of their own 'pub'!

This place is amazing!! I cannot recommend it more highly! I booked it for 31 of us to stay for my husbands surprise 40th birthday. We were the last to arrive so had no idea what we were walking into whilst all the other guests had arrived. I did wonder what we would find as this place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but it was SO worth it. The venue was fantastic and is basically like having a lock in - your very own pub. Such a fantastic idea and really unique place to stay. Peak Venues website is brilliant with all the links on there for food and local pubs etc. We used a private chef one night and Scoff food which was delivered in the morning for that evening for the second night and did a tesco delivery for the rest. The venue is lovely and really nicely done - the lounge is lovely and spacious so we all watched the rugby on the saturday afternoon. The pub area is large enough that everyone can eat together. The cottages are beautiful and really recently refurbished by the look of it and are much nicer than the rooms in the actual house but they are all still really nicely done. As the cottages are set in a courtyard it doesn't feel like they are that set away from the property. The village is lovely and all the people staying in the house that visited the local shops commented on how friendly this little village is. Everyone who came for this weekend of fun could not say enough good things about this place...This is definitely 10/10... If you think it's a long way to go...I promise it will be worth the drive there!

Had an amazing weekend for 50th and 60th celebration. 30 of us stayed at the Crewe and Harpur and I was amazed how spacious it felt. The rooms and pub had everything and were lovely. It was great having it all to ourselves definately recommend it as something a little different.

Situated in Longnor village I stayed at this property with 37 more friends to celebrate 2 60th birthdays. Ideally situated not too far from Sheffield for us all to travel. The property comprises a main building with bedrooms, a very large kitchen with utility room, large lounge and a large room - obviously the old bar area with room for 40+ to have a get together, meals/drinks and space for a little dance. There are also 3 separate cottages all well kitted out. I can't think of anything that was not provided for. There are 2 coffee shops, post office, general store & pub in the village. Also not very far from Buxton & Bakewell for visits out of the village.

We stayed at the Crewe and Harper for a family gathering, the booking process was very easy and peak venues were very helpful and easy to deal with. We organised beer to be delivered and caterers for the Saturday evening both recommended by peak venues. Everyone loved the place from the youngest toddlers to the oldest, we loved it so much everyone wants to book again, that’s 34 very happy customers

We needed to stay overnight on a trip to Derbyshire and found the Crewe and Harper a Marstons Inn. On arrival we were shown to our room which was beautifully clean and comfortable (nothing fancy) We decided to have dinner in the pub downstairs, which was very nice pretty much what you would expect from a Marstons Inn. The young lady serving us called Hannah was wonderful. She couldn’t have been anymore help if she tried. Breakfast was included in our stay which was also of a very high quality, with a young man (James I think it was) running around serving the food and taking any orders. All in all the staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful and we would definitely stay here again in the future. Can’t recommend enough.
