My disabled wife and I were meeting a friend from Cheltenham in a "half way house". The ladies had been there before. It had previously been thought acceptable. It has now become a location of choice because of the outstanding level of service and quality of food. The knowledgeable waiter knew the constituents and preparation of every dish and was...

Really lovely meal for 8 including two kids, staff couldn't do enough for us and they were all lovely. I would recommend anything off the menu as we all sampled each other's food. You must go here if you are in the area as I will definitely revisit.

Another great stay, tucked away hidden gem, three times as many staff to rooms! With just three rooms you feel it's your own little private retreat. The atmosphere and food are second to none. If you get the chance book a room NOW!

The setting and decor of this pub is very pleasant. We had been in earlier for a drink which was very enjoyable. My only complaint was that when I asked did they have any stout they said no. I consequently found out they serve Guinness but during my meal later on. Later on we went back for a meal. The...

We visited The Fox, twice in one week, while we were visiting the area. Sunday lunch on 1 Nov and lunch on Friday 6 Nov. Lovely pub, good atmosphere, wonderful food and very welcoming. The food was very tasty and well presented. Staff were attentive and helpful. Even our little Westie was made to feel welcome.

We arrived at 1:00pm having not booked to a warm and friendly atmosphere. We had a table in the main bar which is beautifully decorated, warm and cosy with a log burning stove. The menu was conservative, but the food we had arrived swiftly and was to a high standard. There was a constant buzz of conversation and for a...

Lunch: very good twice-cooked cheese soufflé followed by a rather average hake dish but to finish an excellent lemon posset. Pleasant staff but not many people to attend to; I hope they do better in the evening and at weekends. Worth a visit.

A lovely pub in a pretty village. Very varied menu using local produce. Hearty portions of well presented and well cooked food. Highly recommend the double baked cheese soufflé started - delicious. Good choice of beers and wine in a really cosy but lively pub restaurant atmosphere. Really good friendly service, nothing was too much bother. Would definitely go again...

To echo a previous reviewer, this restaurant is sadly not what it used to be. We were a group of six, returning after a year's gap, to find things have changed. The menu was very average. The food was no more than good average, certainly not of the level previously experienced. The wait between courses was far too long &...
