The Carlton is located right between the lake and the railway station. It is across the street from the subway leading to both, as well as to the bus stop. As the hotel provides free tickets on public transport for its guests, the hotel is perfect if you like to discover the city by bus. Parking is also available.
We had a superior room which was of decent size, with plenty of storage space - very welcome nowadays. The place is spotless clean, multilingual staff is charming, and altogether a wonderful experience.
The buffet breakfast is very reasonably priced and plentiful, and the restaurant is excellent.
Overall, for a **** hotel, this stay was one of the best I have had in the past 10 years of regular travel.

This is a great hotel - well located near public transportation and walkable from the train station and the port. The staff is exceptional and the rooms, while on the smaller side, are very well appointed with comfortable beds and top quality bedding and towels. Our rooms had beautiful terraces which we enjoyed each afternoon with a bottle of wine and some snacks. We didn't have the breakfast in the hotel. It's quite pricey and there are a lot of lovely cafes/bakeries a few blocks away where you can get a coffee and pastry to start your day.

Very well located next to the metro “Delice”. Elegant hotel but rooms very small. Accommodating staff who gave us a room with a bath upon request. Plenty of hot water! I recommend. However, breakfast is 25 CHF each so tuck in! Also parking is per calendar day not per 24 hours. So arriving late gives poor value for parking. Easy to get around by bus, foot and metro though.

This is such a nice luxurious hotel, and our family has been enjoying staying in it on multiple occasions since 2016. Everything is impeccable: room decor, luxury toiletries, comfortable and quiet rooms, daily housekeeping, and excellent service from all staff members. The hotel is located right by the metro stop, which makes it very convenient, and only 10 minutes walk from the lake. We stayed in the executive room which is spacious, has plenty of storage, nice modern bathroom, a balcony, mini fridge, desk, large TV, safe, and an armchair with a coffee table - everything we needed during our 3-week stay. I can't speak of the hotel high enough and would happily recommend it to anyone. Thank you, team Carlton.

It’s a small hote which is located next to the metro stop Delices. Nice helpful staff and the hotel has a small buffet breakfast with options. The front desk gives the city pass at the time of check in . The rooms are small but in Switzerland rooms are small in most of the hotels. The bathroom has basic toiletries and there is option to ask for what is not there e.g there is no hair conditioner and body lotion. The hotel is well located and is walkable from the main railway station and also near the Ouchy port. The Olympic museum is also near.

This is a pleasant enough hotel, with helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Bonus marks for the room design, with plenty of storage. Even if you're staying for a while and travelling light was never your strong suit, you shouldn't struggle to find room to put all your kit away.
The one weak spot was trying to connect to the wifi. It was a massive hassle, and I failed to log in after several attempts at following their instructions. Eventually I gave up and went and asked at reception. To be fair, the receptionist was very helpful and manage to get me logged in in the end, but it wasn't easy.
Come on, guys, it's 2024: the technology for hotel wifi that you can log into in a couple of clicks does exist. On the plus side, at least the wifi worked well enough once I was logged in.
Breakfast was good. It was a little disappointing that you couldn't get light snacks and sandwiches during the day, but there is a nice sandwich bar if you turn right out of the hotel and walk down the street for only about a minute.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was complete, however I travel alone and probably therefore I had the smallest room. Clean and it had what you need. Very nice and clean. Breakfast is always an issue, since I just want to have a coffee and a piece of bread. That's overpriced, but average for the hotel. I could easely walk to the lake or via metro. A nice hotel midtown.

Central location in hotel area close to the lake. However our experience was not the best. Very long check in around 40 mn... at least check out was smooth. My room was small and not particularly nice, while the other one was better. Hotel structure has suffered from Covid and needs to be refreshed. Average breakfast served in the cellar... not clear why they do not serve it in the nice garden. This not the type of service you normally receive in Switzerland for a four star.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The reception team were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located next to the Metro stop Delices, so made it really easy to get out and about to explore Lausanne. The free travel pass was a bonus. it is only a short walk down hill to the lake with a good choice of restaurants. We had a top floor Executive Double with balcony which had a lovely view of the mountains and lake. The room was extremely comfortable and stylish and included a mini fridge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a little pearl in a heart of Lausanne, just next to the Olympic museum. Such a helpful staff. Julia from reception was the best. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are very nicely made and big enough. We had all the amenities and baby cod for our baby. Thank you !
