Nestled near a serene lake, Château d'Ouchy is often praised for its comfortable and clean rooms, although the size and views can vary. The service is frequently lauded for its friendliness and professionalism; however, some guests have experienced occasional lapses. The amenities, including the scenic lake views, contribute to the hotel's charm, despite some remarks about limited wardrobe space and breakfast variety. While the hotel's location is a highlight for its tranquility and views, several travelers question the value, pointing to overpriced services and lackluster amenities given the cost.

Can’t fault this place. The staff are great and the rooms are lovely. We had a Lake View Junior Suite which was room enough for two adults and one 10 year old, even with the put up bed. The suite is in the oldest part of the hotel, which is a tower served by its own elevator and boasting period window features. Each room in the tower is on its own floor with it’s own entrance, although there is also a separate door from the small lobby, to a stairwell for emergencies.

We liked that the room came with one Suisse adaptor and a city travel pass for each of us; both welcome conveniences. Darling daughter says ‘the bed was comfy, even though it was quite springy. The bedding was nice and the pillows comfortable’.

The restaurant has a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The food is really nice. Loads of breakfast options served in style. The bar was buzzy on Friday night and full with family’s taking a hot beverage on Sunday afternoon.

Reception recommended restaurants and made reservations for us ahead of time - they were very communicative and provided the right information so I could make decisions. Sophie deserves a special mention.

We arrived at night so opted for a taxi cab to transfer from from Lausanne-Gare Train Station to the hotel, costing 13 CHF and taking about 10 mins. We realised once settled that the Metro is just 1 minute walk from the hotel and takes similar 10
mins to travel to/from Lausanne-Gare to Ouchy where the hotel is, so... options.

We felt safe, well looked after and very special bedding down in a Chateau style hotel with all the boutique mod cons.

Fantastic location on the lake. View from the room (Deluxe Lake-view room) was just incredible whatever time of the day or night. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent food at the grill restaurant where the chef cooks in front of you. I stayed there for a few days on business but I would not hesitate to recommend to travellers looking for a stylish romantic hotel on the lake. Hotel guests have access to the 5 Monde Spa at the Beau-Rivage hotel (across the street) for a small fee.

I can't more highly of this property, its staff and facilities. I'm writing this review while I'm here because I'm enjoying my stay so much.

Upon arrival, Noura greeted us and gave us an extensive overview of the hotel, area and benefits (there are a lot) available to us. What's more, it was apparent her love and enthusiasm of the area.

We are in room 108, a deluxe king lake view room. Perfect size for us with the perfect view. The room design is great with the emphasis on the airiness of the space. It opens up the room.

The hotel is right on Lake Geneva and in the centre of town, which is very walkable.

Among our benefits was breakfast, which had an extensive selection of foods. Also included in our benefits was a ticket for free public transport and discounts to museums and the like.

There is also a small, very relaxing pool and sitting area to read a book.

Lausanne is home to a number of fine dining establishments, including 2 Michelin star Anne Sophie Pic and 3 Michelin star Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville in Crissier, which we are going to.

If you want a relaxing holiday with charm, this is the place to be.

The moment you enter the Chateau you feel royal.
The kind wellcome of Reception, the architecture of the Chateau, the silence of the room, the perfect breakfast, the good quality of sleep, all is perfect.I would consider it more of a 5 star than a 4.But, that s just me.....
I was impreseed by the size of the room, and the high ceilings(i loved that, it gave the room a certain elegance) ,the pure white walls and the wooden Doors, the lights in my room(namely 115)gave it a cozy athmosphere, and the huge Bathroom(with a city view from the Bath tub) with all the amneties really made me feel spoiled.
I ve loved especially the morning(don t miss their breakfast, it s delicious) and I advise you do a long walk on The the edge of the lake, there the hectic of the city, with an impressive number of 140 000 inhabitants vanishes, somehow you feel closer to the nature.I ve walked during evening and mornings. Thing is in The evening it gets very crowded,so my advise is that you use the Spa instead of going out.
The Restaurant 57 Degrees grill is also a must, i must admit i ve ate the most delicious spare ribs with baby spinach in my life.(compliments to the cooking team).
Two things i ve expected to be different:The Spa, i found it a bit small. Still, i had the spa just for myself for one hour, which was ok.
And the parking lot was 30 swiss francs per night. A bit expensive.
I ve also learned one thing about myself(thing about travels, is that you get to know a bit about yourself too:i ve learned that, although i fancy it, i don t belong in this world of richness. So if you are looking for it:here is the place to feel royal.
The way back home in Crans Montana was so beautiful,a delight to the eyes, as i could see the Alpes from the Window of my car and i could sing out loud:Walk like Egyptian, talk like an egyptian, the song from Bangles.I was happy, i am still happy and i am looking forward for my next trip.

We stayed overnight in a junior suite in the tower. The is was our first time back since the hotel was (partly?) renovated and we were pleasantly surprised. The quirky tower room (216) had gorgeous views over the lake and was bright and airy. Buffet breakfast was well appointed despite COVID restrictions and the bar staff helpful and friendly, as were the ladies working on reception. Will definitely be back.

We asked if we can buy at 23:10 a bottle of water. The bar staff said that the payment machine was already closed. The receptionist (the old man) said that they don’t have water at the reception, said that we could use the minibar, good option but in the minibar was only one bottle of 0,5 l of still water for 2 guests. The problem is that if we want to drink 10 bottles of water at any hour it should be possible, they should be able anytime to put the amount on the room charge and ask us to pay the next day in the morning at the check out. The bar staff was rude and said no to everything that we asked! This is a huge minus for the entire experience! Never come back again!

Lovely hotel that looks like a castle right on the water. The picture is from the little balcony in our room. The room was perfect size. The balcony is just for standing. We did not do the room with breakfast as there are bakeries and stores close by for simple morning food. The metro is right across the street - if you arrive by train, you can walk down the long hill easily with luggage or transfer to metro.

The Château was one of the highlights of our trip across Switzerland. From the beautiful lakeside setting to the comfortably appointed rooms, quiet and elegant lounge/lobby area, and exceptional convenience to shops, restaurants, and public transit, we spent 4 wonderful nights here and would gladly have stayed for another 4, had our itinerary allowed. The beds were extremely comfortable, and all areas of the hotel were spotless. Service was attentive at the bar and reception, where the concierge helped us get information on whether a planned activity was affected by inclement winter winter. By Swiss standards, the rates are quite reasonable as well. We found the sauna/hammam temperature a bit too warm; however, this is the sole criticism we could think of, indicating just how delightful was our stay.

As a Globalist member of the Hyatt group, I've consistently enjoyed exceptional service at their hotels worldwide. However, my experience at Château d'Ouchy in Lausanne was unfortunately subpar and far from what I've come to expect from the Hyatt brand.

Room: I was given a room on the topmost floor, which boasted only a tiny window and no views whatsoever. It was particularly disheartening considering my membership tier, which typically entitles me to superior accommodations.

Billing Issues: The disappointment was further compounded when, despite having redeemed points for my stay, I found a full night's rate charged to my credit card upon checking out. Although the staff eventually corrected the error after a 20-minute delay, the exchange rate discrepancies resulted in a shortfall of around $10 on my refund. There was no attempt to compensate for this oversight.

Service: I was taken aback by the lack of communication regarding check-out times. Being a Globalist member, I am privy to late check-out privileges. However, I received several phone calls around noon, urging me to vacate the room. The tone was unprofessional and lacked the courtesy I've become accustomed to at other Hyatt properties.

I sincerely hope the Hyatt group takes note of these shortcomings and ensures that the service at Château d'Ouchy aligns with the high standards set by the brand globally.

The Chateau D’Ouchy was a great place to stay. It deserves 5 stars with one exception, the bar and food service. The breakfast was just average quality and there was often a shortage of plates, untensils and coffee mugs. We ate one dinner at the 57 degree Grill and the service was very slow. We used the bar service several times which was slow and disorganized- one of our servers forgot we were there and disappeared for 30 minutes until I went looking for her and found her chatting in the lobby. You have a magnificent hotel and the service was excellent except for the food service. I hate not giving you 5 stars.
