Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel is good and it is near to the center and the shopping areas.
The atmosphere is very familiar cozy, on the ground floor there are lounge areas and meeting rooms to relax and meet with friends and family but also for business meetings.
The room was not very spacious but good enough for a short stay and in general, it is a quiet hotel.
The breakfast was good with a decent variety of products and the staff was kind.
The only downside of our experience was that the housekeeping did not offer a good service. We stayed 3 nights, after the first night they did the turndown service properly but after the second night they didn't do it anymore. Actually, when we came back to the hotel after spending the whole day out, we found some cleaning products all over the shower and the toilet as you can see in the pictures. I went to the reception and told this to a very young lady but she didn't apologize and took it like it was a normal event. Instead, she just explained that there was an inconvenience with the housekeeping staff that couldn't finish their work but she didn't offer to clean the room.
I would come back to the hotel but the housekeeping service should be improved.

Short night in a nice little hotel in the center of Lausanne. Great staff and service. Confortable bed and large bathroom. Big garage for the car (highly convenient in Lausanne Center). Breakfast ok with real espresso!
And a beautiful little garden to get the morning coffee or for the smokers 😂

We had two rooms at this hotel one with two single beds for our children and one with a queen bed for ourselves. Our room was quite a good size but the childrens room was very small.
The hotel staff are lovely and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was also very good.
The main problem with this hotel is its location. Its just too far away from everything. We did walk right down to the bay but had to get a taxi back. There are a few restaurants within walking distance for dinner.
If your going to stay in Lausanne you really want to stay somewhere in the 'ouchy' district. Its close to the shopping and the beautiful bay area.
One thing to note also, the print off we had about the hotel said it had air conditioning and a pool. This hotel had neither. It had fans in the bedrooms but the rooms where still very hot during the day. I got the print off from a 'hotel site' on the internet so it probably was misinformation given by this site and not the hotel itself.

Nice standard hotel with all basics for a three star hotel. Price/quality is above average. Room size was a bit small but nicely done, location was far from the centre (not walking distance) and breakfast was good (quite a lot of choice for such a small hotel).

This is a small hotel, more suited to the small business owner on business than a tourist or corporate traveller. Rooms are small, the lift a bit dingy, but prices are in the range of what you'd expect for what you pay.
Location is not good at all, but if you have a car it shouldn't matter.
Breakfast is extremely good, and offsets other problems. Good internet access in the lobby.

Although a little out of the way you are given tram tickets so that you can get around Lausanne for free. Number 21 bus from the railway station if travelling by train as we were, can't remember the name of the stop to get off at but it is the one after Beaulieu. There is another Beaulieu-something stop before that so be careful not to get off the tram too soon. Number 2 tram gets you into the city. Good place to stay, not 5 star but no complaints from us. Breakfast OK, including scrambled egg/sausage/bacon if you don't want the usual continental meal. Very helpful staff, particularly at the front desk and decently priced for Switzerland. Smallish rooms but this is Europe so expect that. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and think its a great place for a 3 star, especially as its a good price. Don't get me wrong, you wouldn't confuse yourself for a 4 star, but it is a lot better than some hotels which consider themselves 4 stars!
The staff are so friendly and helpful, both beforehand when making the booking, and when at the hotel. You can ask them anything and they will try to help. There is free wifi internet in the bedrooms and computers you can use downstairs. The rooms are warmly decorated, and although a bit basic they have everything needed. There is a mini bar, a tv with loads of channels (including, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, various French, German etc - a lot more than you'd expect for a foreign hotel!) For me, the bed isnt the most comfortable as its a slightly hard mattress (but thats a personal thing as I prefer really soft matresses).
No bathtub, but a good shower, and the bathroom has pretty much all you'd need (shower gel, shower cap, flannels) - although no moisteriser or shampoo I think.
The breakfast has loads of choice and is always busy. The rooms dont have ironing board (which to be honest I wouldnt expect in a 3 star anyway so thats fine), but the staff were very happy for me to use the hotel one in their laundry room.
Also, although they dont have room service, they will order takeaway for you (ie pizza, Chinese) and put it onto your room charge.
Overall, I think for the price its a really nice hotel!

Stayed here for the world triathlon finals. It is a way out of town, but 2 trams run very nearby. There are also a couple of bars, supermarkets and restaurants near. It’s easy to get to and from the station.
Nice spacious and very comfy room with a/c, but not all rooms have it so worth checking. The room was very quiet and we slept very well. English channels on TV so I could watch La Vuelta.
Weirdly, no kettle in the room, but you can order tea from reception. Who doesn’t make a cup of tea at bedtime ?
Breakfast was ok, the staff in the restaurant are very helpful, as are the staff on reception. The breakfast is “free” so you can’t really complain.
Overall I would stay again.

what do you expect from one of the most expensive places in the world ,so do not look for a value for money option if you go to Lausanne ,specifically this hotel which was three stars provided really 4stars or more service for us ,not only clean rooms should be mentioned but also the brilliant manager of the hotel who let us to deposit our luggage there for two nights without charging any extra ,all in all its a memorable stay in a beautiful building and amazing surroundings .

Anybody remember Max Bygraves?
No, probably not, neither do I.
Plus it is beside the point as I am beside a pint!
Belgian beer.
Very dangerous.
Hotels in Switzerland are expensive.
Everything in Switzerland is expensive - but not as expensive as Tromso.
So... when you discover a good hotel, clean, friendly, well-run with a satisfying breakfast, I think it is my duty to let people know.
We were in Lausanne for the Bejart ballet, and the hotel is situated two minutes walk from the theatre which is the ONLY reason we decided to stay.
But we will be back!
Because we are back in Lausanne for more culture - well, almost!
This time the club is not adjacent to the hotel, but we will staill make the effort as the overal experience is not an effrontery to common sense like the rest of CHeeseland.
