The concept behind this hotel is superb, enabling friends and families to be close to loved ones in the hospital. Opening it up to others is simply excellent. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were extremely helpful and informative. The room was very clean and airy and well appointed. It’s true there was no air conditioning, but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all, despite the 30degree heat during the day. We just had to ventilate the room sensibly. The breakfast was excellent and we even tried the restaurant for an evening meal one night - this was also to a very good standard. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Swiss electrics are different to European. We needed different adaptors to use our plugs.

We had to chance to stay a couple of nights at Hôtel des Patients- and being familiar with Lausane - this is without a doubt one of the best value you can get for your money in the city. The property is brand new, rooms are big, bright and super clean with a comfortable bed and boy, what a view.
Despite being close to the hospital everyone makes you feel welcome and ensure that you have a wonderful stay, despite all the Covid related sanitary measures, they went over and beyond to make us feels as comfortable as possible.
The location it self is incredibly convenient, you are literally 5 min away from the city center by metro (add a 2 min walk from the hotel to the metro station), plus you get a free public transport card when you check in!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Lausanne, may that be for work or leisure, thanks again for having us!!!

As others have already said, the concept of this hotel is to mix hospital guests with outside guests - and we think it really works! We had a lovely corner room for the three of us. Really spacious with lots of storage, a huge bathroom and comfy bed and sofa bed. Great views of the lake and the cathedral spire too.

Breakfast was really good too with an extensive selection of good quality products. We all enjoyed eating there and covid rules of the time were well-respected. Oh and the whole place (even the car park) was super clean.

We booked for there Nuit des Musees and with the Lausanne Transport Card and the CHUV metro just a 2min walk away we got to all the museums we wanted to visit easily and for free.

Thank you and we would definitely book again.

A perfectly fine hotel with a hotel staff that spoke English well. We had a good stay and for the price it was amazing with the metro really close. The stay even included a public travel pass for going to and from the downtown city.
The hotel is a bit special in that it actually is a patient hotel with people staying with newborns and people being in the hospital. So we were s bit in doubt of how that worked and if we even welcome. But we stayed there for 2 nights and had a great time the vibe is just a bit odd and we felt out of place.
The breakfast included gluten-free options and was great.

The hotel has a fine restaurant that was adequate and at a good price. The restaurant staff didn't speak much English so with a bit of help and Google translate it went fine and with a little knowledge of French it will go fine.
Was a bit weird that even when they knew we mostly spoke English and German then those waiters didn't serve us but only the once that knew other languages.

We had an amazing stay in Lausanne but felt a bit out of place.

The room size, view and bed were excellent (750)
Unfortunately there was a nasty smell in the room that took a few days of the doors being open and constant spraying to be removed.
The breakfast was excellent selection - although unless you got the scrambled eggs immediately, they became very hard.
The lunch and dinner was not good. Over-priced, poor service and didn’t taste nice. Visitors should know that patients, from babies to elderly, receiving treatment, stay in this hotel.
The bar was good.
The position was great for the hospital but for a visitor to Lausanne was in a quiet residential area, with no shops or other restaurants but very easy access to the metro.
The staff in reception are excellent and incredibly helpful.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend on a short trip to Lausanne. It was impeccably clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the rooms were large, warm, quiet and comfortable; it even had a partial view of the lake! The breakfast was self-service and had a large variety of Swiss goodies. It was also quite near the city centre, and easily reachable from the railway station by metro line no.2 (5 stops). To top it all, it was very reasonably priced.

I can imagine that some people find the hotel decor too "clinical" but it did not affect me at all. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

All was excellent. Although a bit far, you have the metro in front and can be in the center in few stops. Parking practical too, staff very professional especially during Covid (the location is actually inside a hospital). Rooms very spacious and clean. We are definitely coming again.

The hotel is spotlessly, clean and modern. It is a hotel, mainly for families of the nearby maternity hospital. There is a restaurant inside which serves breakfast dinner and is open all day for tea. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The room itself was large and had a nice view. I think the location is situated well for people driving in and out of Lausanne, there is also a metro station close by.

So, be prepared this hotel has no AC. 😬😬😬. Rooms are clean, big, and very modern. The funny part is it is located next to a maternity hospital so the women give birth and then they leave the hospital and come to the hotel restaurant and bring their baby in a basket put it on the table and drink wine. An interesting sight to see .😬😬. Front staff was very nice. Restaurant staff not so much. You can tell they don’t like foreigners.

It was a special occasion stay for my mum and I emailed the hotel asking for a higher floor . I was not given a higher floor room but given a nice corner room on the 2nd floor.
The room was spacious and clean; the bathroom is large and comfortable !
Breakfast was lovely and staff in the restaurant and breakfast are exceptional !
The hotel is located near the tube station so great location.
There is a few young men on the reception who are particular friendly but this hotel would be even better if all their reception staff was the same warm and welcoming.
As an example, I was unable to find a hair drier in the morning rushing off to work , so I called the reception - what I got in response from a you d woman ? We don’t have any spare hair driers so you have to be without one. Luckily , there was a nice French man on the reception who felt sorry for me and found a hair drier.
So definitely , would give 5* if reception staff a bit friendlier and look after the guests better.
