Despite being close to the hospital everyone makes you feel welcome and ensure that you have a wonderful stay, despite all the Covid related sanitary measures, they went over and beyond to make us feels as comfortable as possible.
The location it self is incredibly convenient, you are literally 5 min away from the city center by metro (add a 2 min walk from the hotel to the metro station), plus you get a free public transport card when you check in!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Lausanne, may that be for work or leisure, thanks again for having us!!!
Breakfast was really good too with an extensive selection of good quality products. We all enjoyed eating there and covid rules of the time were well-respected. Oh and the whole place (even the car park) was super clean.
We booked for there Nuit des Musees and with the Lausanne Transport Card and the CHUV metro just a 2min walk away we got to all the museums we wanted to visit easily and for free.
Thank you and we would definitely book again.
The hotel is a bit special in that it actually is a patient hotel with people staying with newborns and people being in the hospital. So we were s bit in doubt of how that worked and if we even welcome. But we stayed there for 2 nights and had a great time the vibe is just a bit odd and we felt out of place.
The breakfast included gluten-free options and was great.
The hotel has a fine restaurant that was adequate and at a good price. The restaurant staff didn't speak much English so with a bit of help and Google translate it went fine and with a little knowledge of French it will go fine.
Was a bit weird that even when they knew we mostly spoke English and German then those waiters didn't serve us but only the once that knew other languages.
We had an amazing stay in Lausanne but felt a bit out of place.
Unfortunately there was a nasty smell in the room that took a few days of the doors being open and constant spraying to be removed.
The breakfast was excellent selection - although unless you got the scrambled eggs immediately, they became very hard.
The lunch and dinner was not good. Over-priced, poor service and didn’t taste nice. Visitors should know that patients, from babies to elderly, receiving treatment, stay in this hotel.
The bar was good.
The position was great for the hospital but for a visitor to Lausanne was in a quiet residential area, with no shops or other restaurants but very easy access to the metro.
The staff in reception are excellent and incredibly helpful.
I can imagine that some people find the hotel decor too "clinical" but it did not affect me at all. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
The room was spacious and clean; the bathroom is large and comfortable !
Breakfast was lovely and staff in the restaurant and breakfast are exceptional !
The hotel is located near the tube station so great location.
There is a few young men on the reception who are particular friendly but this hotel would be even better if all their reception staff was the same warm and welcoming.
As an example, I was unable to find a hair drier in the morning rushing off to work , so I called the reception - what I got in response from a you d woman ? We don’t have any spare hair driers so you have to be without one. Luckily , there was a nice French man on the reception who felt sorry for me and found a hair drier.
So definitely , would give 5* if reception staff a bit friendlier and look after the guests better.
