We stayed for 2 nights. We are a couple with a baby. We had a good time and enjoyed this hotel. Everything is very clean. The room is sparkly clean: bathroom, furnitures etc. Very spacious bathroom with good water supply. Spacious room. Baby cot was provided. Comfy bed and pillows.
Breakfast was good. You need to pay extra though for scrambled and sunny side up eggs (3chf peg egg) but you can boil eggs. Coffee was good. Utensils etc were made of nice silver. Nice staff in the restaurant especially the guy (forgot his name). Check in and check out went super smoothly.
Only down-side is that it is not accessible for wheelchairs and baby strollers, there is a concrete stairs to enter the hotel, no ramp at all. So we had to lift/carry the baby stroller each time we get in and out of the hotel but it was not a big flight of stairs to we managed.

We has a short stay here on our travels through Switzerland, and were departing on the Glacier Express train, so needed somewhere not far from the station. It was a short walk from there, in a quieter area of the village. The hotel is exactly what you visualise when picturing a romantic stay in the mountains. The distinct smell of fondue hit us when we entered the small lobby. Functional but not overly friendly welcome. However, we did receive a free upgrade to a lager room with a stunning view of the Matterhorn! It had a balcony too, so perfect to sit in the sun (albeit very cold as it was February!)
The room was very clean and well appointed. Dated decor throughout the hotel, and particularly so in the bathroom (1980s chic). However, this did not detract from a lovely stay. Breakfast was ok, nothing special though.
It was easy to walk around Zermatt and lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself was also a short walk from the cable car, which we took up the mountain even though we weren't skiing. Highly recommended - we had a very memorable afternoon up there, taking in incredible views. Would recommend for a short stay.

We have been staying at the Alpenblick Hotel for many years in a row. Convenient location within walking distance of the Klein Matterhorn ski lift determined our choice more than 10 years ago. The hotel has not stopped in its development. On the contrary, it continues to confirm the high level of service and surprise with new products. In particular, this year, the already plentiful breakfast buffet pleasantly surprised us with a variety of additions from fresh vegetables and berries. Friendly, sincere staff creates a homely feeling of staying. A cute, tasteful decoration of the hotel for Easter brings a festive mood. The same goes for Christmas and New Years.
It is nice to know that in our difficult times, the comfort, service, quality and hospitality of the owners and staff of the Alpenblick Hotel remain unchanged.

As you can gather by now, this review concerns the restaurant of the Hotel Alpenblick in Zermatt. We are regular visitors to Zermatt and we unfailingly will have one dinner at this restaurant as they feature fresh trout. This means you have a choice of whether you like your trout from the pan or poached (best to try both). This is an owner run operation and the care showered on the running of the place shows it. The restaurant is classic, cozy with warm lighting. Service is very professional and friendly. If fish is not to your liking, they have a wonderful a la carte menu with lots of interesting dishes. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

We had Room 210. An apartment, beautifully decorated, with full kitchen, living room, bedroom, bath and a great balcony with an awesome view of the Matterhorn. A couple poor things, though…the location is near the Gonegrat railroad/tram, but far from all but one restaurant, no stores for food supplies or shopping. Electric taxis cost €6 per person for anywhere. Buses are available, but we didn’t try them. The hotel staff was friendly and extremely helpful, except even they couldn’t help with the little washer in the apartment. No instructions, couldn’t even find anything on Google or YouTube. We had to try a small load three times, twice with no soap, and they did not rinse out. It does not dry, so had to hang clothes out.
The whole town is certainly a mecca for skiers who can be self-absorbed and not very friendly.
Except for skiing and an expensive aerial gondola ride, there isn’t much here, I could have skipped Zermatt. I mainly went as a nostalgia thing as I had skied here myself 40 years ago…it is a very different place now.

We arrived at the hotel after check-in time and the man at the reception told us that the room was not ready and that it would be in two hours, that we should go for a walk around the town. We came from a tired morning and we wanted to rest but we couldn't and our little dog had to freeze for two more hours because it was snowing. The room was quite basic for the high price we paid. The breakfast was good but nothing wow, the attention of the receptionist was terrible and that of the gentleman too, both were not friendly. The hotel shuttle charges 12 francs per person, which they didn't even offer us due to the terrible reception they gave us. The taxi charged us 17 francs each way. I would never stay at this hotel again

Our family spent the Christmas holidays in Zermatt and stayed at the family run Hotel Alpenblick. We had an excellent experience. Since we were a larger party of six, we stayed in the Bonatti apartment, which gave us more room and ample beds.

In planning our trip the staff was very quick to respond to emails. My daughter has some food allergies, the dining room staff accommodated her needs well. The entire team was friendly and helpful.

Location of this hotel was perfect. Less than 10 minute walk to the main part of town or a 10 minute walk in the other direction to the gondola.

Our first impression was no good, the owner was at the Reception when we arrived and he just gave us the keys and bye. Absolutely no friendly, actually very arrogant, He does not wear a mask, and did not response when people say Good morning etc. Bad but very bad attention. The hotel is very old, the only good thing we found is it is near to the cableway. Breakfast was poor, with some bread and the cheapest juice (not natural) and they have a Restaurant but he said they do not have, of course, you can no see this information in internet, so you have to arrange a dinner in another place. Terrible again. Once and no more, we do not recommend it,in Zermatt are a lot of better options.

Dated but well maintained and clean. Very close to the Matterhorn Express. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special. Big disappointment, the bar was never open. After a day of skiing, you want to sit back with drink, review pictures, discuss the skiing, you'll need to go to another hotel or bar.

We booked this hotel since the map showed it was very close to MGP. It is very close to glacier paradise ( we ended up not going there) It is about 15-20 min uphill walk from Zermatt station and Gornergrat railway station (quite a task if you hv luggage) . The hotel is very clean, one of the most stocked hotel during our stay in Switzerland . The other hotels only provided towel n body wash. This one provides almost everything we get in hotels in US. The room was clean, lots of storage. The breakfast area is large inside /outside, well decorated , we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors since it was very cold . Breakfast was wonderful ,great spread &variety. There are a few viewpoints for Matterhorn near the hotel. Stayed 1 night.

Zermatt is traffic free but has taxis. Alpenblick is only about a 10 min walk from station - don't know cost of taxi as we walked

Unfortunately, the Alpenblick is not wheelchair accessible. Plus, you do know that you have to take an electric car to all the hotels. Zermatt is a car-free town. You take the train from Taesch to Zermatt
