Thank you very much for your message. It is correct that there is no Airconditioning for the simple reason that no A/C is needed up here in the mountains. The best is still to just open the Windows to let the fresh air in. I actually believe that no Hotel is allowed to have AC for environmental reasons. Having lived in South East Asia, I know how necessary Airconditioning is, but here, once the sun sets, it starts to be quite chilly. I hope I have answered your question.

You could spend one day in Bern and then go on to Lucerne (Mount Pilatus). That said, Swiss trains are excellent. Indeed you might consider a trip on the Glacier Express that starts in Zermatt.
