Extremely clean and welcoming Hostel. Fantastic views of the Matterhorn, free wifi, and a simple, but delicious breakfast make this a tough spot to pass up for the price. Only downside is that it is a bit of a walk from "downtown" and all uphill.
This was my first hostel experience. While I can say that they are not my cup of tea, this facility was immaculately kept, has an incredible view, and represents decent value for money, especially for solo travelers. I didn't take the breakfast, as I chase...More

Thank you for your question! From Zurich to Zermatt you normally have to change once in Visp, but it depends on which train you take. The best way to check is via sbb.ch, where you can enter the departure station and the arrival station. From the train station in Zermatt it will take you about 15 minutes to walk, however you can also take the village bus to “Winkelmatten”, get off at “Luchre” and from there it’s a 1-minute walk. Zermatt is car free but they have electrically powered taxis, which costs between CHF 25.- and CHF 35.- to our Youth Hostel Zermatt (depending on the number of people and items of luggage).
We wish you a pleasant stay!
