This hotel is so quaint and charming in the best sense of the words. Zermat is a small town at the base of the Matterhorn and this hotel is like a five minute from the train station. First, the exterior is draped in colorful flowers and is gorgeous (we stayed here the first week of September). Next, the hospitality was...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in Switzerland. Plusses - wonderful friendly staff not only in the front office but also in the restaurant. Our room had a nice balcony and view of the Matterhorn. Minuses - the Matterhorn view rooms also got some of the noise from the Gonnergat train that went up the mountain (and started...

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! Also the hotel staff were some of the nicest and most helpful people ever! Particularly the desk concierge named Fabio, he made the experience really helping us to have the best possible stay in Zermatt possible! Super friendly and positive! Also the food was amazing, especially the huge fresh breakfast spread!! With food and beverage...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in mid September for our wedding anniversary. The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival, showing us to our room and explaining the facilities. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with complimentary spring water and fruit. There was also a well-stocked mini bar. We had been upgraded to...

A nice and small hotel about 5 min drive from the station. Little far away from the main restaurant strip. Hotel staff are very helpful. The rooms were clean and well equipped with basic amenities however there was no fan or AC for warm days. Recommended for short stays only.

From the welcome drink to the full breakfast to the dinner (with extra courses so that we could sample the local specialities), the hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpfulness? I would rate this hotel proper in the "very nice" category. It is not in the "luxury" category, but the staff makes for a luxurious experience.

Wonderful stay. Our room was lovely - we had an alpine view and were happy with that. It was easy to walk to from the station, though we did take the electric car the following day. The tourist office is next to the station to offer directions if you are walking. We took the cable car up to the Matterhorn...

Very nice room room (with Matterhorn view), excellent location. This was our second stay in this hotel. They provide shuttle service to help with the luggage. Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. Clean, well appointed room. Comfortable beds. We like hiking, and the hotel is within walking distance to Sunegga, Gornergrat and Matterhorn Paradise - three ways to get up...

Everyone at this hotel seems to really love their job. They were all so pleasant and helpful. We had excellent service throughout our two night stay. The breakfast is especially notable (they have gluten free bread and soy milk if you have allergies) and they will cook eggs to order if they don't have any out already. We also did...

I wanted to thank everyone at Hotel National, especially Fabio, for helping us have an amazing vacation. It all started with check in when Fabio told us to sit on the terrace and have a drink while our luggage was taken to our room. We enjoyed taking a moment to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The...
