We stayed at a deluxe room with Matterhorn view for 2 nights in Dec 2018. The room was spacious and cosy. The view from this room was also amazingly beautiful! By the time we arrived and checked in, it was quite late and so we didn't expect to be able to see anything except

This lovely little hotel is just a perfect for stay in Zermatt! The room was very clean and comfortable with a huge balcony with a great view of Matterhorn and Zermatt. The spa facility is good, especially the outdoor one... a great hot tube and an outdoor sauna is just what you

Stayed at the apartment from 15th May 2018 to 18th May 2018. A nice place for a family of 4. Clean and well equipped with two bedrooms. Although it did not have the view of the matterhorn there was a view of a snow capped mountain. Close to the station and shopping area.

A smaller family run hotel with spectacular views of Matterhorn from your bed. The hotel has been recently renovated with clean, modern design features if not a bit Ikea-ish. The staff is friendly and efficient and make you feel very welcome in a way only a family run

We had a family stay for 4 nights. We booked two rooms with Matterhorn view (rooms 207 & 208). Shuttle pickup: it helped a lot as we had 3 children with lots of ski items. Check-in: the rooms were ready at 11:00. Super Rooms: wardrobe with plenty of spaces, TV with good

This is not a luxury hotel but rooms are spacious, pristine, and suitably equipped (Wi-Fi, TV, telephone etc). A double room gets you a large double bed, a desk and chair, a small table and settee, a separate en suite bathroom and lots of storage space. The big news though (if you request it) is a large balcony with stunning Matterhorn views, table and chairs, so you can sit with a glass of wine and soak up the unique vista.

is there air conditioning in hotel. we are there next July?
Thank you for your inquiry. I do not remember seeing an air conditioner unit at this hotel. I have travelled to Switzerland many times in July, especially Zermatt which sits at a high elevation. In my opinion you will not need an air conditioner as the weather stays fairly cool to mild in the summer months. This hotel has nice balconies and plenty of windows to open up if the room gets stuffy.

We ended up arriving late and had to walk. My husband and I had 1 medium case each and a backpack. The walk wasn't too bad.... not that steep. What made it difficult was the cobblestone street in some areas on the way. So, if you have rolling suitcases it will be more difficult to pull them. Regardless of that, try your best to pack light. If you are traveling by train and it is your first time doing so in Europe, know that you will likely be making a tight connection (European trains leave between 2 and 7 minutes to connect, which sounds like plenty of time but it's not) and lifting cases up for storage in some of the trains can be difficult.

how many rooms have private bath? How many rooms in total in Gasthaus Grafenort?
Is the question about private bathrooms? I believe they all do. Not sure on total number of rooms. I'd guess 50
