The Astoria is a lovely, traditional-style hotel on Steinmattstrasse. From the outside it looks very traditionally Swiss and is largely clad in wood. Inside it is very pleasant and cosy with clean, comfortable rooms. The staff were all helpful and very friendly. During my stay, dinner was across the street at the Avena restaurant but a buffet-style breakfast was served...

We stayed in the Hotel Astoria for two nights including New Year's Eve. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent and included a balcony. There were two reasons I did not give the hotel higher ratings - wifi and breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was included and was only okay. We stayed at several hotels...

This hotel had some of the best service I've ever experienced. The food was fantastic, and it was easy to get to public transport, or even walk to the nearest lift. They're also close to the ski shops where you can rent equipment.

Just booked this on bookings.com and was pleased with our choice. Room was big and clean. Bathroom is also big. Included breakfast was really good. They even had a toaster which most other places in Switzerland don't seem to have.

The corner room and corner balcony we were given had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn! Absolutely stunning. The room was quite large and the bed very comfortable. We slept great. It is an easy walk from the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and suggested a marvelous restaurant for dinner. We would stay there again if...

Lovely old hotel with clean amenities and room. Very pleasant staff at reception who were helpful with any queries. Breakfast was great, contrary to many other reviews. Plenty of options including fresh fruit and hot breakfast. The lady who was looking after the bar during breakfast did seem to be quite busy! We stayed in room 303 which was wonderful....

We stayed at this Hotel 5 -12th March with Crystal Ski. We were in room 303, right over the nightclub and Pepperla live music pub. We heard a wierd noise, as if people were up and down stairs in ski boots all night (Clop, Clop, Clop). We did hear people outside at night, but once the windows were closed, we...

We stayed here for a week, booked through Crystal Ski. Were given the largest room we have ever had on a skiing trip, with a balcony which was useful for chilling drinks! Staff were excellent, really helpful and ensured everything was to our satisfaction. Rooms were really warm, dried clothing no problem over night. Litres of hot water for showers...
