With a very warm welcome we entered the hotel. The lady at the reception was just outstanding. Friendly helpful and competent.

We got a great room for our family with a bunk bed for the kids and a king size for the parents. The room has a terrace facing a pathway. The room is equipped with a mini bar, tv, a very beautiful and spacious bathroom and a luggage room with a mini safe. Our deal was including breakfast which was very rich and delicious.

The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance away from the train station. It is surrounded lots of various restaurants such as a Japanese Shogun or a Chinese cuisine as well as Swiss bakery and restaurants.

The hotel has a very nice bar on the ground floor with a cosy fireplace, a complimentary steambath and a jacuzzi for its guests.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to travel to Zermatt.

Room Tip: We had room 114 and were very happy. It is a family room with a bunk bed and a garden seating.

Pleasantly surprised by how big the room was! A rarity in Switzerland for sure. Modern furnishings a plus! Lovely surprise balcony with a sideways view of the town, nice to sit outside to unwind at the end of the long day. Bathroom was rather lacking in character compared to the room and bath tub/screen was quite inconvenient. But basic amenities are there, two sinks + separate WC were appreciated. Breakfast was average, adequate but not great spread. No swimming pool, bare gym, uninspiring suana area for a 4* hotel so manage your expectations accordingly. Location very close to train station (5 mins), off a quiet corner, complimentary luggage shuttle would be nice instead of charging CHF12 for what is literally a 1 minute ride in a buggy.

Overall we enjoyed the Simi and would stay there again. 5 min walk to train station, great location in city center, rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk was very helpful and even called to help us get a refund for our train ticket as we didn’t know our ski pass included the price for the train. Fitness center, hot tub are just ok. Breakfast is ok but included in price. Great ski room. Remember to turn in room key cards or you are charged $5 each.

Not sure how much this hotel cost as it was part of a package but it is worth every cent. The service has been nothing less than fantastic, the room is spacious and fully appointed.
There is even a spa room with a Spa, steam room, sauna and warm relaxing area (this probably has a fancy name I am not aware of).
Free wifi of course.
And breakfast is included. My son, who is with me, says if he comes back to Zermatt he will stay here.

The Simi is centrally located, about 3 minutes walk from Zermatt railway station. The staff at the reception and in the service department is very friendly and very helpful throughout. The rooms are large and clean. We arrived with a dog and there was a dog bed and two bowls available.
Only the breakfast is in need of improvement. The quality was rather average and the noise level was very high due to the many guests.
We liked it very much, we will come back again with pleasure.

The restaurant located just a few steps below the Furi station in direction to Winkelmatten, offers in winter and in summer as well for skiers or/and hiker, the right place to stop and take a breath but also to enjoy a good Cheese Fondue, or Roesti. The place still family owned is keeping tradition, service and quality well. A must.

I was in a single room on third floor. It was very clean. Nice en suite with bath and shower over the bath, not really suitable to climb into. Toiletries were provided, and there was also a TV, a fridge, a safe and adequate storage. Reasonably quiet location. The lift did break down for around 24 hours which made it awkward as I was with a large group of 40 mostly older persons. However the great staff made up for everything. They could not do enough for us. Beware in Switzerland the electric plugs are quite different. A very odd 3 pin.

Was there with my kids. We could book just 1 room for a hole family and it was a nice surprise finding out how spacious the room was. Very friendly and helping personnel. Rich breakfast buffet. Eggs and crepes were prepared on request.
I enjoyed my stay very much.

Honestly I didn’t want to write a review so that I can always find a room at this magnificent hotel. The hotel and lobby are very beautiful and the check-in was very smooth. Our lovely room had great amenities and a very comfortable bed as well as a lovely bathtub with hot water. The breakfast was truly delicious. Yet what mattered the most is that all the amazing staff at the hotel are very professional and have exceptional customer service skills; whereby, they are always smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay truly memorable. Thank you very much to everyone for an amazing stay at your hotel and we will surely be back.

I am sure that the hotel would be delightful in summer too. There is endless summer walking and I know the hotel staff will give recommendations. The smarter more expensive rooms have beautiful balconies and you can gaze at the mountains from the balcony. As to the hotel being short staffed this was not something I noted or commented on. It is a family run hotel like many in Switzerland. It is not short staffed but it does have an intimate feel to it. I prefer this kind of hotel to the impersonal service of a staff without any real interest in the guests or the hotel itself . I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. They treat you like part of a family of guests.

Good day from Zermatt Thank you for your request. The Hotel is 3 minutes from the train station. If you will arrive before 8 in the evening we will pick you up. You just need to call us. Past 8 you need to take a taxi, this is not for free. The prices are different so we can say for sure how many it will cost. We are pleased to welcome you in our hotel. Kind regards Team SIMI
