Just few steps from downtown and quite near to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola. The hotel is very small, only 6 rooms located on two floors. Rooms are wide enough, our bathroom wasn't bad, only the shower a little small. Being so small you must rely on other customers's politeness. Unfortunatelly we spent 3 nights out of 7 with very noisy... More

We had a warm welcome, clean room and bathroom. Wifi connection excellent. We had breakfast in the mornings, with great coffee. On Xmas night we had dinner: there onion soup is a must. With Prima soft meat, spinach and potato dish. German beer was tops. Service was really great. Will definitely recommended Stockholm.

Hotel had about 5 rooms, above a restaurant. No noise from the restaurant or the street during our stay but you could definitely hear what the people in your neighboring rooms were doing. Service was minimal. No one to greet us when we got there, just the room key waiting for us in an envelope. Breakfast was ok, would have... More

Stayed here 2x in the last year. Good value for the money. Staff is helpful. Room is clean and has shower. Very comfortable. Breakfast is basic- could use some yogurt, though. Good location just down from the church (10 minute walk from Bahnhof). Overall nice 2* hotel.

We found this Hotel charming , we asked for a room with the Matterhorn view. On arrival we found there was no lift, and a number of steps to carry your bags up - but we managed it ok. We had room (8) had a deck with chairs and the best Matterhorn view in Zermatt. The room was small but... More

The check-in process was nice since their "reception" which is the restaurant itself doesn't open until 5 p.m. they post you the card plus some instructions at the door so you can just come into your room as soon as you arrive, no waiting. Internet didn't work for my Android phone until the following day, which was just a minor... More

I last stayed here over 20 years ago and it was just as charming as I remembered! The room (8) had a Matterhorn view, was a good size and immaculately clean and well appointed. It is only a ten minute walk from the station and just out of the 'business end' of Zermatt. The breakfast is basic but plentiful. The... More

We had 5 nights in room 10. Our flight was late so we only arrived in the middle of the night, but that was no problem at all since they have a machine that spits out your key card using the code they tell you. The room was immaculate, it was a very good size with a very good sized... More

A great deal for Zermatt. Clean, comfortable rooms. And our room (room 8) had an incredible Matterhorn view. I was glad that had read a previous review that explained that the restaurant was closed on Monday and that they found a note with the room number and a key in the door. Otherwise our Monday arrival might have been confusing... More

The Stockhorn isn't really a hotel, more a restaurant with just 5 rooms above it, but we paid £170 for 2 nights in a town where most rooms are at least £150 a night, so thought it represented good value for money. When you arrive in Zermatt by train, all hotels are represented on a large map of the town... More
