We decided to stay a weekend in Arosa (as we do every year). This was the only place left we could pay (for a hostel it's actually too expensive). When we arrived we had fo wait for 30min until the old unfriendly lady arrived. She was absolutely impolite!! Afterwards, she had problem with the skitickets (you can't pay only for...

We had 3 rooms, one of which was supposed to be a double room. The double room had a bunk bed, instead of a double bed and the room was tiny... All rooms were very basic, no furniture to put way things, only one outlet, etc....

As we saw the tiny room, with the window open (-1C°) no heating and holes in the bedding, we decided to leave and look for another place. We did...

Arosa Backpacker's Downtown is run by profit hungry, non service-minded people. They squeeze in maximum number of beds into the rooms (more than they are meant for) and the comfort is extremely low. We were there as a group for a ski weekend, and due to miscommunication the staff changed our booking without informing us about the details. They tried...

We booked a couple of 4- and 6-bed rooms for a large group of people. Upon arrival, we found that instead of that, we had 2 10-bed rooms, which were obviously not meant to accomodate that number of people. The rooms were filled from wall to wall with beds, no space between them. Yours truly slept in a bed with...

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Youth Hostel! It's the kind of VERY poor hostel with coin-operated showers. Amazingly, though, it appears to be very popular and well-subscribed, but I would be interested to know about the repeat-visit rate. Basically, the building hardly has any windows at all. I can't understand why -may be it used to be a...
