I did a lot of research and Residence Brunner is the most affordable hotel in Wengen. My stay came to 110 Swiss francs a night. In Lauterbrunnen park your vehicle in the large parking garage located below the train station. Parking is 10 Swiss Francs per 24 hours. Take the train to Wengen which is around 6.50 Swiss Francs one...

Stayed here for 2 nights (16th and 17th Aug). We felt like its a typical street side hotel and doesn't deserve any star at all. In the first place, the hotel is situated up on the hill side. Though its within 1 Km distance from wengen train station, walking with luggage might be a bit heavy to do. I called...

Management response:

Dear guest, we are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our hotel is not a modern place. It is a 113 year old building - and we function as a B&B. It is a charming alpine Hotel with a touch from the 19th century, with a dining room with an original wooden parquet...

We took a family room that was nice and cozy. A bit expensive since you have to pay for the parking at lauterbrunnen and the train tickets to the village and back. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was basic but good. 8 minutes walk to the train station. We took a taxi arriving and leaving (because of the...

We booked this hotel during a 4 day summer stay. It is a bit of a hike from town, but the owner was nice enough to e-mail us ahead of time and arrange a taxi if necessary. Being adventurous we chose to walk. Plan for 15 minutes with luggage, about 8 without from the train station. Our room had a...

We stayed for four nights at hotel Brunner in summer of 2012. It was very good experience, for most of the stay we were probably the only guests at the hotel since we visited during non peak season. Malika Brunner (owner) was very friendly and warm, she gave us recommendations on day trips and we were able to use the...

Old hotel, bad service, unconfortable rooms, rusty bathtub... The hotel seems abandoned, no reception service at all!!! Save your money... there are much better choices in Wengen for the same price and even less!

This hotel is ok. Its clean. located a bit up the hill on the piste, location is reasonable. The views on a clear day from the balcony are excelent. The cost is WAY WAY over priced. This is basic accomadation with a premium accomadation price tag. Please do not be fooled in parting with 20 chf for breakfast, take your...

Although we booked the hotel well in-advance and arrived early on the day of our reservation, the Hotel Residence Brunner chose not to honor our hotel reservation in favor of an Asian tour group. Our reservations were rejected so that they could accommodate a tour group that did not provide them with the correct number of guests. In their e-mail...

Dear Rosemary, first of all we apologize once again for the disagreement. It is certainly true that we had an Asian group which was more numerous then expected, but we also needed to keep this group together. We decided therefore to relocate you and your family in a partner hotel. We have been working with this partner hotel since ages...
