Our whole family of eleven people aged between 8 and 75 stayed for a week. The hotel was perfect for a relaxed family holiday, with comfortable rooms (with extra beds where required), well-appointed bathrooms (big baths, showers and masses of hot water) and excellent buffet breakfasts and dinners that enabled each of us, not least the children, to choose the...

We love Wengen and the Belvedere is in a quiet location 5 minutes walk from the station. The reception, lounge and bar area retain their lovely Art Noveau fittings which adds charm and character. Our bedroom was large and comfortable, with a great view of the Jungfrau and Lauterbrunnen valley from the balcony. Pillows useless and duvet too warm for...

Lots of atmosphere and old world charm. Comfortable rooms, dynamite breakfast and dinner buffets. Free computer in the lobby, as well as free wi-fi in room. Very comfortable common areas. Would stay again.

Wengen is a great spot for hiking--lots of trails from relatively flat to 1000m climbs. Ordinarily the views, both up to the peaks and down into the Lauterbrunnen Valley, are spectacular but it happened to be cloudy/rainy during our stay. Wengen is accessible only by train from Lauterbrunnen, which continues up to Jungfraujoch with intermediate stops for more hiking opportunities....

We are a family of four and enjoyed our stay. The purpose of our trip was hiking and the hotel was good for this. Nice breakfast in the morning with a friendly dining room staff. We had a little mix up with the front desk on the length of our stay but this was sorted out.

Great views from my room of the JungFrau mountain range and the Lauterbrunnen valley down below. Superbly run - very friendly, capable and efficient staff. I was on half-board, the buffet meals had great choices, the dining room was packed but relaxed. Great mix of people from all over.

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Belvedere in Wengen in August 2015. Without a doubt, this was my favorite hotel during our two week trip through France and Switzerland. We had a second floor room with a private balcony and an amazing view of the Jungfrau. The hotel sits on top of a hill, so the view from the...

Stayed for one night at the end of a 7 day Alpine Pass trek. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the town across to the snow-capped mountains. The buffet dinner was good as was the breakfast (with hot choices). The receptionist let us print off our boarding passes.

Within 5 minutes walk you reach in summer the tennis courts and in winter the ski school office and its meeting place as well as the beginners' slope and the ice-rink. With the Mannlichen cable car which is 5 minutes walk you reach in just a few minutes the Mannlichen mountain which is the perfect starting point for skiing and hiking - always with the view of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Wengen is the ideal starting point for various excursions to the Jungfrau region. To the mountain railway station it only takes 5 minutes walk - from there you start the amazing journey up to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe - at 3454 meters altitude which is Europe's highest railway station and the highlight of every visit to Switzerland! ... more   less
