The Hotel Baeren is a lovely place to stay. After two days of hiking in the relentless rain, we took the train from Grindelwald to Wengen and were shown to our room even though we arrived early. We were given a room with a balcony facing the mountains, and throughout the day we would occasionally catch glimpses of the imposing...

Dear Guests Thank you for the review. We are sorry about this weather this summer but we are glad you still enjoyed your stay at the Hotel Bären as well as the Village Wengen. We hope with your next visit you will have more sun, then the mountains are even more impressing. Therese & Willy Brunner with the Bären Team

We stayed in the Lobhorn Room. We had a beautiful mountain view and a very spacious bathroom with a private toilet and nice shower. I absolutely loved the tub with a view of the mountains! The room was bright - all windows facing the mountains. The beds were comfortable. Please note: there is a room that shares the balcony, but...

Dear Guests Thank you for the nice review. The Lobhorn room is really special with the bath tub with a view of the mountains! You can see the Lobhorn and the Breithorn from the Bath tub. We are looking forward to your next visit Therese Brunner

Like previous reviews, we loved our 5 night stay at Hotel Baeren. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a full shower (5 feet long) rather than the typical 3 foot square shower. The balcony room looked out onto JungFrau mountain. The breakfast buffet was varied, fresh, and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to the train...

We visited Hotel Baeren in Wengen in June 2014 and it was such a place. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice and roomy compared to other European rooms. We had a balcony looking out at the mountains which we thoroughly enjoyed. The only con was that we had smokers next door who sat out...

We just spent 4 nights at the Hotel Baeren and have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience there. We are a family of 5. Our kids range in age from 18-24. We needed two rooms and hoped for valley views. Therese, the owner was so helpful via emails in describing our room options, and then getting an...

We loved our stay so much last summer, I booked the same room again this summer and was not disappointed. This is one of the hotels that I consider a "home away from home," in that I feel so relaxed and comfortable. Housekeeping does a wonderful job and the rooms are kept very clean. The staff are so friendly and...

Great hotel, staff fantastic, food fabulous. We had a great stay here for 6 days in June. We opted for the half board option, well worth it, the menu changes daily and provides good value, along with the breakfast. Rooms relatively basic (but it is primarily a ski resort (town) but still lovely and beds super comfy. We had a...

Room was very comfortable, newly fitted out and immaculately clean. Looks like the pictures on website. Our room had an amazing view of the valley. Staff were extremely warm, genuine and very helpful. Food - both breakfast and the four course dinner - was very good and fresh, with much of the vegetables coming from the hotel's own garden. Other...

Enjoyed the Baeren although if you are carrying a lot of luggage, arrive before 2 pm or walk the 1/4 mile to the hotel down a very steep road. Otherwise they will pick you up. Town is small and fun. Hotel is well placed and has rooms overlooking mountains.. choose those. Hikes and fun and the train to the top...
