We had a family room, which was very spacious and comfortable. I just realized afterwards that we were upgraded to that - thanks again! The staff was fantastic - Rosa Anna and Annika are very friendly waitresses and Carlos and Reto do a very good job in organizing the restaurant and hotel and are very nice to talk to. I highly recommend the place for a stay close to the mountain elevator of Wengen and the central station. I coulnd't think of anything we disliked and hope to go there again, soon.
What an attentive, friendly, helpful and professional staff! We felt genuinely welcomed, and the amenities were just great. The room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the balcony, a welcomed plus to enjoy the late sun. The spa was very busy, because of COVID you had to reserve your place, but we could manage a slot and enjoyed the steam bath and jacuzzi outside. We truly had a great time. The hotel is COVID-compliant, spotless, which helps to really relax. The only critic we have is the food... As food lovers, we would have appreciated more love and refinement for the main meals. The appetizers were fine, but the mains lacked what makes a good dinner. My rice was not cooked enough, p. ex., while fish was overcooked. Details, but it can really influence the whole experience.…
Hotel is very well kept with the highest level of service. The whole team from the people at the reception to the waiters are extreamly friendly and helpfull. The location of the hotel is best possible in Wengen, just across the train station on the main street. The wellness area is recently refurbished to the high standards. Highly recommended.
Wonderful people make this place wonderful :-) This is a very good hotel in great location with very nice spa ( due to Coronavirus you should decide what time you want to go to the spa- talk to the reception). In the restaurant there was absolutely no problem that our 2 years old daughter wanted pasta and then, no, let’s have fries :-). ( Lilly says hallo to everyone). Highly recommended.
We have stayed at the Silberhorn many times and have always enjoyed our visit. We return for several reasons but mainly the excellent situation, close to the station and Männlichen cable car. The views down the valley from the rooms with balconies at the front are spectacular, well worth getting one of these. There is also an excellent spa and reading lounge area, perfect relaxation after a hard days skiing. The hotel has its own lively cocktail bar too. There is a generous breakfast buffet and a delicious 5 course meal every evening with choice of main course and a comprehensive wine list. We find the staff are without exception, attentive, professional and friendly. While the Silberhorn is immaculately clean and COVID compliant, if I am to find any fault at all, it is that the decor is a little dated but nevertheless absolutely typical of charming, well run, family Swiss hotels. We’ve booked again.…
