The hotel is very nice, looking very new inside, with great pool and spa area, including stunning view on the mountains. Restaurants are serving very good food, perhaps the breakfast food quality could be improved as it is very standard and below par vs the rest of the experience. Personnel is very nice and caring, the overall service level was above expectations, from taking care of the luggage pretty much since the train station in Lauterbrunen to your room, to serving breakfast in the room upon request. A great experience!
Very Beautiful rooms. Hotel stay is very overpriced. Good staff, very helpful. Breakfast was OK (not so great). Wellness and swimming pool were very good. My child liked it a lot. Sunna also was good. Children’s can also enjoy the small library.
I've stayed at the Eiger many times before but this trip was a great reminder of the quality of the hotel. The food was exceptional, the staff were kind and hospitable and the pool is a welcomed addition, especially with young children
This hotel is so extremely overpriced, I can't recommend ever staying here. For 400 to 500 chf a night, you get basic motel level rooms, and limited facilities. Also their booking listing says they have a hot tub, they do not. The room and especially the bathroom is cold. The Pool area is new and good quality but unlike most hotels in the alps, they have their temperature very cold, about 26 degrees. When it's minus ten out and you're at 2000 meters you want a 30+ pool, and a 35 degree outdoor hottub with mountain views. The saunas have no views, yet they are clean but small and limited. Thankfully they are textile free. No steam room, no herbal or aroma sauna, no ice bucket, no ice fountain. The good things were the staff, everyone was lovely, especially Linda in the dining room, made us happy just being around her. If the price was 150 to 250 a night I would rate it better (and only so high a budget since it's Switzerland), but at this price honestly I feel ripped off. And the staff, though friendly, didn't make any efforts to address our concerns about the false listing (booking shows rooms with wonderful mountain views and floor to ceiling glass doors by the bed, our room wasn't like that at all, and no hot tub). …
Beautiful rooms and hotel, the family-owned hotel go out of their way to make you feel welcome and give you the best Oberland experience. The breakfast is simply beautiful with a view and all local products. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic with a great choice in wine and food.
