We were in a party of 30 staying a week on a half board basis. The hotel was clean, well decorated, and our room with balcony had great views of the falls and mountains. The staff we friendly and helpful although we saw little of the manager. Our trip arranged by Kuoni promised a four course evening meal which we...

We had booked 4 rooms for a 3 night stay. We arrived at 7pm to a very walm welcome from reception and the manager. The rooms were spacious and all had views over Meiringen. The food in the hotel was excellent, both quality and quantity and the manager and staff even split up the bill evenly between the rooms for...

This was our third visit to this lovely hotel. The views from the balconies cannot be beaten (see photos). In one part of the hotel you get views across Meiringen and the mountains beyond; from other rooms you can see the Reichenbach Falls (where Sherlock Holmes fought Moriarty). Although the hotel is looking slightly dated, it is immaculately clean and...

We thought that this modern hotel was hard to beat for friendliness and facilities. Our room was more like a small apartment and very clean. There were gift wrapped meringues on every pillow ! Our ten month old son was made very welcome and we were allowed to take our all -terrain stroller right up to our room. The hotel...

This was the biggest hotel in Europe I think I have stayed in. It almost looks like this hotel used to be an apartment complex. There was a separate dining and living room and a kitchen sink and small refrigerator. It probably would be convenient if you had children or were there for an extended stay. The restaurant staff was...
