Firstly, upon arrival, we are most surprised to find how far away this hotel was from the village - we must have misunderstood when booking, thinking it was only a short 20 minute walk. In fact it is a 20 minute bus ride and the buses only operate once per hour. This is the most important thing to know when...

Great place to say for the area. Perfect base for exploring Jungfraujoch etc, view of the Eiger, and convenient enough even when meeting up with friends staying in Wengen. Modern facilities and very good restaurant with friendly staff and attentive service.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Aspen this Fall after much deliberation about where to stay while in Grindelwald. We decided to splurge on this place as it looked so beautiful and because we were staying off season we got a good deal on our room. I am so glad that we did! This hotel is breathtaking, sitting on...

We have stayed for 2 nights. The hotel and the room are beautiful with very nice environment. Balcony is very nice and can have a wide view to the mountain. We have driven to the hotel and parked outside the hotel. Even though the location of hotel is not close to the town, it can let us enjoy a silent...

If you do not mind a short commute from town, the Aspen IS the place to stay. Even if you do not have a car, it is a short bus ride from the center of Grindelwald. The design is contemporary. The hotel pays a great amount of attention to cleanliness. I recommend room 312 (amazing views). The restaurant is very...

Great place to stay ! Extremely competente and friendly staff, great accomodations , Top SPA, excellent food, and everything at 10 min from Grindelwald Center. The cenário is breath taking, and the Jacuzzi after a full day of fun, is the Cherry on Top of the Cake. Gone a return for sure, this time in Summer. Highly Recommend !

Wonderful rooms, all beautifully designed applying lots of pine wood. Restaurants are fantastic and the chef is top gourmet. Service on all levels first class and very friendly. Great wellness area and hot pool to relax those weary muscles after a hike or a day out skiing. Can only recommend this fantastic hotel in the highest terms.

While there are many fine hotels to choose from in the valleys close to the Bernese alps including the Lauterbrunnen/Wengen/Murren/Gimmelwald and Grindelwald/First areas, the Aspen is one of kind. This is a first class, family owned hotel that has fantastic, modern room conveniences while still maintaining the classic charm of a chalet style "house" inside and out. I have stayed...

To return from a day's walking in the mountains to first class accommodation, a well equipped spa, fantastic food and a friendly team of staff eager to please, makes this the perfect base in Grindelwald. We purchased the 3 day package and would highly recommend.

Perfect combination of traditional alpine and modern comfort made for a very enjoyable 5day stay. The hotel is in a great location for hiking - and I imagine skiing - it is possible to step straight out of the door on to hiking trails and the local bus stops right outside to venture further afield or into Grindelwald. The room...
